TCG Dream Card Contest!

Don't worry, I'm not gonna enter the contest. I already can change my colors, I'm just gonna do one for fun.

Edit: Baca what are the font names? I probably already own them. I have close 10,000 fonts on cd.

 

OK, here is one I made this morning. I got the fonts as close as I could get them without copy/paste.

Nice job Rox. I will post the font names later, I forget them right now and I am at work. I know the Card title is Armada Bold Condensed (I think...).

 

Rox what font was that? Your card is awesome. I am using Paint Shop Pro for my cards, there is a free trial version at their websight. I got the full version for Christmas. It is a very awesome program.

I can see Rox's images but that's it. I can't see another card.

 

Here are the fonts I used.

card title: CgPhenixAmerican
card description: Eurostile MT
Card abilities: Gill Sans MT Condensed
The arrows: wing dings #2

 

I'm not sure if I have all of those. Where can I get them? Are they free?

 

Wing Dings came loaded on my PC, the rest I had on a CD I bought of fonts.

 

I find that copperplate gothic bold is good for the card description, what did u use bac?

 

Here are the names of the official fonts

Card Title: Armada-BoldCondensed
Subtitle: BankGothic Md BT
Gametext: dax condensed regular
Numbers: AgencyFB-BlackWide

The #pt (such as 6pt, 12pt) depends on the program being used and the image size.

I know there are some fonts available by using Kazaa, but I am not sure which ones are "free" and which are stolen or pirated. Also, some of them are viruses so you have to scan to make sure they are not. I haven't found any fonts close to these that are free, but I am sure they are out there.

Edit: I am not endorsing getting illegal fonts via Kazaa. There are some free ones available I believe

Hey ALl

I sent my card to Bacabachaui so it should be up soon. Im so glad benji showed me this thread (btw i beat him 3 - 0 in TCG the other day). This competition has given me something new 2 do. I have a 2nd card done and im making a 3rd. These will be done soon. I use photoshop 2 make my cards, layers really help. My friend gave it to me which means it is copied proberly :S. i don't endorse downloading ilegal programs but sometime they can be handy , though photoshop is quite advanced and difficult.

How does that work anyway? I use Photoshop now too but I don't see where layers come in?

 

hes my friend, hes a TCG player, an extremely lucky one, he managed to roll somethin like 6 hits of 6. Not funny when a star destroyer dies without gettin a shot off.

 

How i have used Layers

I use the template and selected it all with the retangle marquee and copy and paste it back on its self...so you have 2 layers.

On the new layer with the copy (if its not on top bring it fwd like in the layer menu i fink) and select th white space where the pic would be and delete it...so u have a space there now (not that it is visible)

Now get ur image, resize it etc (you make have to this in a new image jus go file>new
and then once you have your image copy it into the card. It will create a 3rd layer and proberly on top of ur previous 1's. all you have to now do it send it back a layer so it is inbetween, so now u can move the pic around till you like it inside the card

I have finishd my next two cards and will send them to Bacabachaui soon
