TCG Holo cards

Well i was just wondering 2 things, firstly what holo cards people have and what theyre worth.

I'v got about 15 commons and 5 uncommons. Unless they are rare I don't think they are worth much more then the nonfoils. I fact I've see some common foils for $.25 at some card shops. As for rare Foils it really depends on the card. I know Yoda A was selling for alot on e-bay earlyer this year. Hopefully that helps a little.

I keep a set of all the cards in a binder. I have most of the cards as foils in the binder.

 

I'm curious as to why people call them "holos." They're foils, not holos.

 

I think people think they are "holographic" but yes thay are most defenatly foils.

 

I call em holo caus foils sound like something you'd wrap your lunch in.

What I find funny is when people put FOIL. Then it sounds like the Math operation. lol.

 

They actually call them Holographic Foils at WotC. But up until the recent set, they really were not too "Holo".

But the new ones in A New Hope look like a 3D image of sorts. They kinda jump off the card a little bit.

I really do not like them unless I get an extra rare in one booster out of the deal (which has happened about 8 times at least) What I mean is, I just like the card and I could care less if it is foil or regular, personally.

 

I think they are meant more for collecters. I mean I don't relly care if something in my deck is foil or not. I,ve traded most of my foils away. I've got a freind who is trying to build an all foil deck.

I keep all my foils in a seperate pack, i dont know why i just do, oh yea i got another hyp ring foil today (aaaahhhh). Wheres the Anakin A foils????!!!

The value of holo/ foil/ shiney cards is a strange creature. Depending on how easy they are to obtain. I remember after Reflections came out, I was able to get some foils cheaper than even their white bordered counterpart. If they are randomly inserted (like LotR) then I think the rare foils should be worth quite a bit. As for Cs and UCs, it depends on how the foils are distributed.

 

I got a Darth Maul A Foil yesterday...

 

what?? thats freaky!! u gunna use it or sell it?
