Full Series TCW bonus material episode discussion (spoilers)

So I made myself search for the Order 66 arc spoilers.

Let me just say my OC's CW story is going to be even more dramatic and sad when I get around to writing it.

Yea, I've been doing a calendar timeline during TCW...day to day and every date on both the GSC and the GrS calendars...I'm waiting for the BC to finish it up...

 

Any pew pew space battles in the first arc?

Yes, though minor. First episode, the clones put Tup on a shuttle with four ARC-170 escorts, and they're intercepted by tri-droids and a droid gunship, and then buzz droids and SBDs with jet packs. All the ARCs are shot down; the droids then rip the shuttle open and kill all the clones inside, save Tup. Its a gruesome/violent scene with the droids showing no mercy.

 

It's a little too late for competent droids.

It's sad that we are all like "Yay! I will stay spoiler free!" And now half of us know spoilers on accident/curious clicks/etc.

 

After this I think I'll be staying away from this site. Being spoiled by all 13 episodes before we even get them over here would suck. I already spoiled the arc I was looking forward to the most. I need my TCW fix and this will be the last time any of us will be getting it. :/

Some thoughts on what everything that's been spoiled about the Order 66 arc thus far:

Spoiler: CAUTION: Here thar be spoilers, You're spoiled!

First off, I totally called it that Fives would be the final Domino to fall back in late May:

I felt this scenario would be pretty much inevitable given what was seen before. I've made my peace with it now.

I am most curious about the role Sifo-Dyas plays in this arc, and how it connects to the beginning of the Yoda arc. We now know that Sifo-Dyas was aware of the implanted bio-chips in the clones' brains, but was he aware that they would enable the clones to compulsorily obey Order 66 when the time comes? Somehow I doubt it. I believe this was a contingency planned by Sidious and Tyranus, and Sifo-Dyas was duped into thinking that it would be used to ensure better clone obedience. I suspect we will learn more about Sifo-Dyas and his relationship to Dooku in the Yoda arc, and perhaps this is the bridge that neatly connects these two four-part arcs. I am excited to learn more, because they have really dived into some mysteries in AotC and RotS, which while already mostly covered by the EU, have not necessarily been completely explored until now.

Also, this Order 66 arc appears to be one of the darkest arcs yet. Once again, Katie Lucas does not disappoint in this sense, and does not show any hesitation in killing off characters in violent and often gut-wrenching ways.. I'm going to reserve judgment on the whole Order 66 code present in implanted bio-chips business until I see the episodes in English.

 

Spoiler: just in case

Oh man, I haven't even read much in the spoilers but got enough of a bad feeling to start getting depressed.

 

Netflix going to show this, the rest of the seasons and the movie, with director's editions unseen before. If Disney releases/rereleases these in BD/DVD format, I'll purchase them without second thought. Who knows, if the show is a megahit on Netflix, they'll produce the next 2 seasons that were meant to be.

 

Until otherwise confirmed, it seems the director's cuts are the ones already available on DVD/BD.

I hate to be a downer, but Netflix just isn't a financially-viable outlet for new content with the production values of TCW (not for Disney, anyway).

Your fandom and your lust for star wars has already done that. You have allowed these, bonus content spoilers to fill your mind until now, until now you have become the very thing you swore not to be - spoiled.

For those that saw the arc were there any training scenes like the season 3 episodes? You know were they used those aqua lasers in the arena? Any of those aqua beams?

 

Normally I don't care about spoilers but because these are the last 13 or so episodes and because I love the characters in this arc I am changing my mind for now. I'ma warn ya now. If I get a reported post that throws a major spoiler in my face because the person who created that post failed to use spoiler tags or perhaps simply misjudged what they were typing, that person is getting hellbanned.

I've seen it all now, and...:

It's awesome. Seriously, even with my rather poor German (I got the gist of it), it's absolutely great.

The whole arc would have made a fine movie, a feature at that (probably throw in a dozen more minutes of the space battle and you've got Star Wars at its best as far as I'm concerned).
