TV Discussion TCW & Rebels Now Officially Canon, EU Not Canon

Although never a big fan of the EU myself, I do have to admit that Disney is a bit extreme with the whole "if it's not ours, then it's no good" mindset. I guess we will see if it's all worth it when Rebels and the new movies start rolling out.

EDIT: I don't necessarily mean that Disney thinks "it's no good"(though sometimes it seems so, like the cancellation of The Clone Wars). But you get the gist. I understand that throwing out the EU was to make things easier for newcomers(and fans like me) to understand the story.

 

I know the old EU as been around MUCH longer than the new canon but for me personally while I like the old EU I never took it as canon. It seemed like fanfiction but the now official canon feels like Star Wars to me.
