[Tech] Emailing problems and stuff

...okay, now that I have your attention.

Why aren't passwords being sent out to new accounts? I had my friend register and he never recieved a password to his email address (it's a cable company account). Then he tries with a new account on lycos. Then on another account.

Nothing works.

Any idea why?

Also, password retrieval doesn't seem to work, either.

 

The mailing system goes up and down on a periodic basis, I think.

 

I've noticed that it works about 20% of the time that I've tried it.

 

And we have nothing to do with that process. From our perspective, we only know about it when users tell us. Now, what can I do to help you? I'll tell you. Let me know the name you registered and the e-mail you used and in a few seconds I'll give you that which you seek.

Go PM an Admin to get the password for you.
