[TECH] Why do I Have Problems When I Use The "Sort By Board" Option?

Am trying to find a an old thread I started and it keeps telling me I have "no unread messages" What gives? Another time I fired off a PM and it gives me back a system message that I can't start another poll without closing one that is currently open. What is going on?

 

I have something like that too. Whenever I try to sort my posts by board, so that I can find a link to something, I get this message: "No messages were found for the requested user."

 

Yeah, that's a pretty old and well-documented bug. The boards sometimes won't let you sort a user's latest posts by board.

 

It works for me but it does not show any messages I've posted in this year! I have posted several times in Games forum this year and when I try to sort it the latest post that comes up is from January 5.

When I try 3SA, the latest post is from November 11 but I know for sure that wasn't the last time I posted there.

 

yeah, that error has been really annoying when trying to find recent posts, especially for boards that move really quickly but that I don't post in too often (such as fanfic).

 

The latest posts I get when I "sort by board" are from early January.

 

I'm in the same boat. As nearly as I can tell, you don't get any posts in those sorts that occured since a patch made on January 7th or thereabouts.

 

Yeah, that one's seriously annoying.

 

In my case I try to sort by JCC and it tells me there are no messages by this user which is dumb since I have posted alot in JCC, many messages since Jan. 7th. Is somebody going to fix this problem. It is a pain to search though all your posted messages and this feature make a search for a particular thread much easier. Thanks in advance.

 

I just tried this option and it worked! Thank you to whoever fixed this. It made searching for topics far easier.

 

Hmm, still doesn't work for me.
