Now, i might be a little slow after finding this out, but i found that things had been enhanced from the prequels to the OT. I started to really try and find things after i had seen the difference between Anakins arm getting chopped off and being replaced for a robotic arm, whereas Luke gets a whole new hand with feeling.

And also in the prequels, holograms only come in blue, whereas in the OT the holograms are all colour.

    Any more?

I think this is very interesting, becuse most of the time you hear "the PT technology is som much more advanced then the OT".
Bu you found examples of it being the other way around.

    1. The two trilogies center on different areas of the universe.

    2. Even with that, prettier =/= more advanced

More advanced is somewhat a point of view thing. Perhaps the fancy speeders seen in the PT were cooler and faster than Luke's ANH speeder, or the Royal Naboo yachts might look damn stylish.

When it comes down to it though....

Take your pick. You get to be one of the Trade Federation battleships blockading Naboo, or you could arrive on the Executor with a complement of several Star Destroyers.

If you rely on the PT technology, you better hope they have good hyperdrives and a fast way to calculate jumps.
