I'm very tempted to return from exile and am contemplating it seriously. I don't want to say for sure because I'm just not sure I can devote the time. I have to admit, I miss it though...

 

And we miss having you HK. And its not like we'd demand all your time Thats on a volunteer basis.

 

True enough...I do tend to over commit myself to things willingly. One of my many, many character flaws.

Is there a place on our offsite where one could post a Templar Fan Fic? I don't have one yet, but I am working on one.

I have a discussion question as well...

If the Templars had been around during the fall of the old republic and the rise of the empire do you think they would have done anything to stop the change over? If not then why and if so then why.

 

We were around during the Fall of the Old Republic.

Mostly because we couldn't, at that time, we were still pretty much only defended by hiding. Our only offensive abilities falling to The Guardians. We were still growing as an order, as a community, and as a people. Though we had access to major recourses we had yet to tap them fully, and even if we had, there would have been no way for us to engage the Empire, full scale, and hope to win. It would take us another 100 plus years before we would have culminated the resources and the forces to think of engaging in galactic affairs that involved military conflict.

On the subject of the republic to empire change over..Did Palp fool us as he did the jedi?

 

Likely. We aren't perfect, like the Jedi we likely would have felt something, some looming darkness, but its unlikely we would have seen through his ruse any easier than them, particularly with us being so distant.

 

For a time, yes. Until he started making his power grabs (roughly around the time that AOTC happened) the Templars thought that Palpatine was just a power hungry senator and nothing more. It wasn't until the beginning of the clone wars that we suspected him being something else. The Templars were able to put two and two together, but not until around the time of the end of the clone wars. Love him or hate him, Palps for the lack of a better word, was a genius. Even Dade was fooled by him. If Dade had known Palps and Sidious were the same person, he wouldn't have hesitated to go after him. But too little, too late.

And HK, its good that you are thinking about returning. We would love to have you back. DC, my posting muse has been dead as of late. I'm trying my best to not only get you a training post up in the RPG, but also on the off-site.
