FF:NZ Temuera Morrison in Sunday Star Times

The Sunday Star Times had a page long article about Tem today. It was mostly about his new film Crooked Earth, but there was a brief mention of AotC.

'. . . Morrison took himself off to Hollywood, where he's never again achieved his true potential in big-budget nonsense such as Barb Wire, Speed 2, and Six Days Seven Nights; he also has a role as bounty hunter Jango in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, which opens next May.
"Yeah, I know exactly what those movies are," he sighs, "a comic book, not that passionate, they don't advance you at all artistically, but that's fine. I like to do those jobs because I earn money in American dollars and I can relax a little bit. I think those passionate dramas that really open me up are going to be stories from New Zealand, from home."

There was a good bit in the article at the end:

Morrison drops me off outside Rotorua's magnificent museum, advising me to go inside and watch a 15-minute tourism film he narrates and fronts. "My agent says it's much better than Speed 2," he quips as he drives off.

On a related note, I think Pavement magazine has an article about him this month. I heard it includes a bit about AOTC. Has anyone got it?

 

He did a much longer and better quote about AotC for the New Zealand Herald. I think TFN already have that posted.

I know some people who get Pavement, so I might see if I can find it.

I wonder what this Crooked Earth film is like. It was described as a violent rural drama set in the Coramandel.

Doesn't sound like the kind of thing I could sit through.
