That small teal dot right underneath Northridge is odd... an area that close to the epicenter only experienced light shaking?

You don't really need to understand French to figure it out.

 

My French is crap but I think it is a map of borders and other places where walls and other barriers are or have been built for various reasons.

 

I thought it might be about conflicts since the fall of the Berlin Wall and then since 9/11, but why are the lines different colors?

 

Dude, what could "barrieres et clotures" possibly mean? Or "motivation de la construction?"
