Earthquake hotspots, or lack thereof depending on your location.

 

New Madrid seismic zone is the best kept hotspot secret. It needs a better PR agent.

 

When I watched that as a kid in the mid-90's (the best Christmas gift I ever got, by the way), among the most intriguing factoids concerned the 1811-1812 New Madrid quakes; a quake that could be felt at the White House? That blew my mind.

 

It's not that nobody's ever died in Indiana, it's just that Indiana is populated by zombies.

 

See growing up in Missouri, we had to do drills in school for fire, tornadoes, and earthquakes. It promised a very exciting mix of disasters. My parents actually felt an earthquake in Kansas City before I felt one in LA.

I really should not be living in the Bay Area. Judging by the way my mother and brother are doing, who are the lighter-skinned people in the family besides me, removing skin cancers is going to be a regular thing for me after I'm 40.

Sadly it's only the most popular car brand, also note SEAT and Skoda are owned by Volkswagen.
