The Civ Battle Royale from earlier crashed and we had to start anew. Mostly with the same civs though. That said, this is pretty far into the game and a ton of civs have been fully conquered.

The world's two superpowers are the Inuit and the Boers, thought based on the Boer's inability to successfully hold on to European Cities that they tried to capture, I'm starting to think they don't make the cut. The Inuit have roving fleets of nuke-laden cybersubs all over the map though, so they're definite superpowers. They were able to conquer America, Texas, and Canada and basically solidify their hold on most of North America. They are currently at War with the Blackfoot and the Boers, though they're not doing much on the latter front. Mexico did quite well, moving up north instead of south, largely because the Gulf got conquered by my favorite team here: The Buccaneers led by Henry Morgan, who control the Caribbean, Central America, the top third of South America, Iberia, some other parts of Europe, and parts of Africa, which they are now fighting the Boers over. They, along with Iceland (who took out Ireland, who took out the UK), Sweden, and others are at war with the Boers. Australia and Vietnam are still fighting each other because, well, that's always been the case. Oh yeah, Finland and Brazil exist.

I like how the myth of unconquerable Afghanistan persists even in a scenario where Vietnam has advanced into Arabia.

Interesting interactive world map featuring current and forecasted wind conditions:

    https://earth.nullschool.net

Also very pretty and hypnotic to look at. Was brought to my attention because the area I reside in (Western Washington) is currently getting hit by a windstorm, leftover from a cyclone that was in the South Pacific a while ago. The map can also be customized to show other data, including precipitation, humidity, ocean currents, etc.

The word "Canada" is now meaningless to my brain.
Wow, that has a lot of mistakes. Apparently World War I started c. 1900?

Some of those are hilarious, but probably not in the way they intended...

I like Djibouti's: Djibeauty. Also, Morocco's is funny too. Canada's is funny in a way not intended: Keep Exloring... other options.

Croatia's is new. It used to be "The Mediterranean as it once was". I remember their old ads on CNN.

I think my favourite is Mauritius: "It's a pleasure". Simple and with double meaning.

    "All within your reach"

Is this why so many people seem to think the USA is so much smaller than it is?

I like how Scotland opted to call it 'grandgore' as opposed to blaming it on their neighbors like everybody else.
