To be fair, I'm not *that* close - I'm in Toulon, France. But if I decide to go to Spain I'll let you know. ;)

Unfortunately, I barely have 100 Euros to my name. But the health care, 8 weeks of vacation, and 12-hour work week make up for it. :p Hooray France!

Omg, we agree on something finally Ossy! [:D]

According to this map, I live in the ocean somewhere between Santa Barbara and the Channel Islands.

What I'm saying is, spot on!

I think the marker is centred on the black dot. Confusing I know.

Here's the last updated map: longass link

Eek, that was hard. I got 12/28 correct. The ones I got were:p

    Obama
    FDR
    Carter
    LBJ
    Jackson
    John Adams
    H.W. Bush
    Madison
    W. Bush
    FDR
    Grant
    Washington

In fairness, I always totally forget who most of the Presidents in the 1800s were :p

I got 24/28, but ran out of time before the last question.

There is one president who I always forget: Polk. POLK!

This isn't exactly a map, but it gives a lot of the type of information you usually find on maps.

What a 6.3 aftershock does to a city's power supply...

It's not just a switch that needs turning back on, it's the destroyed infrastructure that's gradually being repaired or replaced.

Here's a http://howbigreally.com/]cool[/url] site from the BBC that lets you compare the size of famous things like the Great Wall of China or the 2010 Gulf Oil Spill with any location you choose.

And the US interstate highway system in the style of the London tube map:

I dunno how old this is, but some parts of Google Maps are insanely detailed now. Check out Rome. [face_hypnotized]

I didn't know Rosanne was from Utah. Explains a lot. They should totally make a map like this for serial killers.

A map developed by MIT, IBM, and AT&T that divides the U.S. into geographic areas based on telephone calls. People within each coloured region are more likely to call other people within that region than people outside it.
