Seattle, WA Terry Brooks book signing September 10!

Hey everyone! I'd meant to post this when I found out, but whoops, I forgot. Sorry! For those who don't know, I work at Barnes and Noble's new store in West Seattle. This event is happening there!

Be as EARLY as you can. We expecting a lot of people (store is preparing for 250 people) and seating is very, very limited. You'll be leaning against tables full of books otherwise, and we may not have our microphone fixed by the event. The discussions are usually around an hour or less, depending. The Q & A will go as long as there are questions.

If you need directions, let me know. It's not right off any freeway, so you'll have to drive through residential areas.

If you can't make it, but want an autographed copy, let me know ASAP so I can buy them and pass them on. I'll probably have to work that day, but I'll me hovering around to help and such.

You can totally bring books. People did for our last signing last weekend. Of course, if you wanted to buy some, that's great too. Especially his new book!

Just hide them veeery carefully. Lots of booksellers will be around helping.

Upping this so you guys remember! It's just over a week away! They'll probably have food and drink samples again as well. I'm PISSED because I close cafe that night. I'm mad enough that I don't even know if I care if it happens at all.

I can try to get them signed, but I have to work and might not be able to. I've given up getting one unless it's one he signed for the store.

I'll be at the U. Bookstore event this Thursday! U. Bookstore events are great, especially for sci-fi. I went to the last Terry Brooks gathering ("Tanequil") when he read an excerpt from "Armegeddon's Children". I've been looking for Terry Brooks fans to discuss his books :-o Also, last year there was a Star Wars book event and people showed up in costume (including a jawa, Padme and a stormtrooper).

 

Wonder if you're talking about the Timothy Zahn (OutBound Flight) signing in the UW bookstore. That would've been Alpha Base and Garrison Titan they trooped that event! wish I could've been there..

If anyone wants, we have store autographed copies as well. I'm not sure if they're still 30% off, I think they're now 20%. I didn't go because I worked later that day and slept in instead. I was dead tired.
