Text Only Version of the Jedi Council Forums?

TF.N, as well as the JC are restricted at my school, while most messageboards are not. It's just TFN and IGN.

Yeah, they don't block IGN.com, but they block TheForce.net, and both message boards. It's sort of odd.

 

I'm not even sure if something like this is possible without any sort of update to the board software. It might be possible, but it wouldn't be too easy. Besides, the banner ads would have to stay, and they're the most annoying images.

You also can block images from a certain server with Mozilla.

 

If it is possible, I'd very much like to have a text only version available.

 

There aren't really that many images on it the begin with so I don't think it would be too hard to make a non-image version. But I doubt it will happen in any near future. You can make several accounts with Netscape/Mozilla. So you could make an account that doesn't show images and use it to view this board.

 

If you don't want to download a new browser, try the above method to kill images in Internet Explorer.

 

And besides, I believe this is a request that would require access to IGN coding, which we do not have.
