    DA...
"...has Josh agreed to stay on as the go-to guy as the co-owner when MS needs a decision on some issue or other (like slash or posting links to off-site spoilers or a dozen other things that spring to mind)?"

The JC has a head administrator to act when the MS needs a decision on some issue or other (like slash or posting links to off-site spoilers or a dozen other things that spring to mind.) That Head Admin currently is Darth Sapient.

As co-owners of the site, Josh and Phil always have the power to step in when they so choose. But, if they don't so choose, we have their designated representative to act for them on JC-related issues.

Whoa, it's sad to see Josh leave the TF.N as main editor; however, I can understand his reasoning behind it. family is most important, and should be top priority. For those of us who do not have a family at this point we have all the time in the world to be on the JC as we are now.

I wish Josh the best, and may God bless him! :)

The position of Editor for TFN Main has nothing whatsoever to do with the rules of these boards. The new editor (other than gaining VIP status like any other TFN staff) will have absolutely no effect on the boards at all.

Meanwhile, Josh is not leaving his role as part owner, and therefore his authority over the boards remains the same as it always was.

I am new here so I dont know much about Josh, but from what I can infer, he seems to be a great guy. While I dont mean to inquire about his personal life, it does seem odd that he would resign at such a pivital time as this. ....no more---I am delving into matters that I am in no position to discuss. At any rate, Josh, your reasons are nobel and I bid you a fond fair well. It is no secret that you have a formidable status among the forums. I dont really know how much of this is true (eg, your ties to LFL ect.). I never knew you, or the extent of your power, but I am happy that you will now be able to enjoy episode III as just another fanboy. This is surly the best way to experience this difinitive event. May the force be with you and your children.

I have been around here for five years, although in the past year or so I have been on hiatus, family does come first!

All the best to the Griffin clan, hope to see you at C3!

    Peace!!

Well, I already acknowledge the character of Jacen Solo in relevent posts in the EU forums. (Granted, I acknowledge that his character sucks, but that's beside the point.)

Unless the character of Jacen is gay, isn't that a bit inappropriate?

'Twas a great run, Josh! You did a fantastic job with the site, and I'm sorry to see you step down, but you certainly have your priorities straight, and I commend you on that decision!

Best of luck in the future,

Unless, sure. But that's a pretty big "unless" in his case.

I'm not quite sure where you're going with this. I don't follow the EU much, but I'm pretty sure there aren't any gay characters. It would have been brought up in the slashfic debates. So that leads me to believe that you're using it as a derogatory term, which I know you wouldn't do, since you're a moderator and you would know that's frowned upon.

Care to enlighten me as to what you're talking about?

Genghis was having fun, Bob. But his gag could work both ways, as Jacen seems to think himself like unto a god. :p

On topic: Thanks for creating this great place for all us fans, Josh. Best of luck to you and yours, and as many ahve said, may the Froce be with you, always. :)

Well, I know he's joking, I just don't think it's very funny. Of course, it may be because I had a gay dog. He died. I was so traumatized afterward that I cut out my sense of humor with a rusty spoon.
