Well, the part about WoTC dropping Star Wars, anyway. Rest of it is cool. :D :D

This. Although now perhaps another company can pick it up and try to make it less bulky and not yet another miniature tie-in game.

Not that I'm bitter about that or anything.:p

And here I am buying all their books to ensure that this doesn't happen. Now I know how the 3rd edition grognards feel.

Not sure who else would pick it up, it's not as though the license is cheap.

Tangential thought: Steve Jackson games? Imagine Star Wars statted out to the tune of a GURPS RPG...

SJG don´t get expensive licenses, usually, but LucasArts should consider it. They are the third force on the market of RPing and the Second force won´t do it. Although I´d die to see White Wolf do Star Wars. Jedi Order and 13 Subgroups. Sith and 13 Subgroups. Additional so called Force Lines . . . :p

Who do I have to murder for someone to start up the line with the D6 engine again?

d 6 is open license for years now and nobody uses it. I love it too. But man. I think you need to find someone who loves it who can afford a license . . .
