ST TFA Easter Egg Found -- Jar Jar is dead!

JJ Abrams is known to leave Easter eggs in TFA. Earlier this year in an interview he joked about showing a Jar Jar skull in the desert in TFA... Could JJ Abrams resist killing JJ Binks? I think not. Instead, Jar Jar went out in a spectacular fashion. I thought I saw something the first time I saw TFA, and then I confirmed it the second time around. In the first attack of the starkiller base -- the scene with the doomed Republic planet, when the people watched helplessly as the blast approached them, Jar Jar Binks was in the background crowd... or maybe it was his grandchild, but no telling how long JJ can live. Look in the area around center right background. His head is unmistakable! Then -- in a blaze of glory -- Jar Jar is no more. I never thought I would feel good about millions of fictional innocents dying, but hey, if Jar Jar was with them, it makes it all worthwhile! Great scene! (People must have thought I was a pyscho to start clapping at that point in the movie!)

 

It was worth it. No doubt. I didn't see that, but I will be looking for it now.

 

Huh. Well, I guess I'll just have to go again to see for myself.

 

TFA is now ruined because Jar Jar is in it.

Just watch that tomatoscore plummet

Dang I wish I had noticed that when I saw it. I mean, It could be another Gungan obviously, so it will surely be debated. The only way we could confirm it for real is if we heard his dumb*** voice before it happened. But hey, we can dream. Still a nice find many probably missed, I'm glad you posted this.

But seriously... Even though I HATE Jar Jar, I still love to hate him and would be sad if he died. And there goes all the Sith Lord rumours out the window.
