What this also could mean is that we have Jar Jar hanging around the Star Wars universe guaranteed for another 50 plus years after ROTS.

 

A Gungan yes, but not Jar Jar. That scene also shows another well known character, just their species not the character themselves.

 

I wonder if an amphibious Gungan living outside of his native habitat has a shorter life expectancy, especially in such a thriving metropolis as Coruscant or even that Hosnian Prime.

I agree, I was looking for him but I didn't see him in the crowd. I just saw it In D-Box. OMG what a great experience with this film. Speaking of the prequels. I wouldn't be surprised if the New Order would introduce a Clone Army in Episode VIII.

I think I can confirm. Something that looks suspiciously like a Gungan is to the right and in the background for a second, then one of the older ladies steps in front, the two older ladies grab each other in fear, the blast heads in, and boom.

I have to give it up to the New Republic Chancellor Lanever Villecham. (the alien in the front.) He just stares at it and takes it like a champ. Certainly a man fit for the role of chancellor. Too bad his one fault of not wanting open war also lead to his death.

If Jar Jar was still in politics for what 60+ years, thats a lot of time to screw up the SW universe, just saying thats quite a feat.

*I doubt they'd kill Jar Jar off like that. Still, seems most rumors are based on that its Coruscant rather than Hosnian Prime which seems to be common place for people to confuse the two by most websites and fans alike.
