The circumstantial evidence that started this thread was indeed flimsy: a common contractor for Bad Robot, an After Effects blogger, the guy who did the end credit sequence for Star Trek Into Darkness, had gone incommunicado, and it was unusual for him to do so, but it mirrored his period of communication blackout when he was working on STID. Other people in this thread convinced me that Kramer was probably working on MI: Rogue Nation. But that turned out not to be the case.

More recently, Kramer confirmed that he was working for a "dream come true" project for Bad Robot, about which he was unable to divulge any information, although he did say he would be finished within a month or so. It's pretty clear from his blogs that he's a Star Wars fan.

Kramer is a credit sequence specialist. As far as I know that's the only kind of work that Hollywood has hired him to do. He may indeed not be working on TFA and in particular not be working on an end credit or opening credit sequence for TFA. But if not, it certainly will be interesting to find out what he really is doing for Bad Robot.

Could it be the opening titles and the crawl? I can't see Star Wars going the same route as Star Trek with the credits sequence. Maybe though...

I think it's more likely that he's designing the opening titles. They have to make something new for the Bad Robot logo in lieu of the 20th Century Fox fanfare, and I really don't see them changing the end credits or the crawl.

This would seem the most likely thing, if he is indeed working on the credits. Some kind of sci-fi slant segue from the Disney Castel to the Bad robot logo, then the Lucasfilm logo perhaps?

that's a good thought. Won't be surprised if that's the case.

Exactly! Although, do you think the Disney logo will be featured? It isn't featured in any of the movies in the MCU until the very end of the credits.

I think the opening is going to be this.

Plus maybe a silent bad robot logo.

There won't be a Disney logo. They don't put their stamp at the forefront of Marvel films. May not even be a Bad Robot logo, either. Although I think their logo is much more likely than Disney's.

Also, I hope Lucasfilm comes up with their own fanfare, rather than just SW music.

I don't know considering Disney has put their logo on every piece of TFA merchandise. Something Disney doesn't do for Marvel products.

That's because Marvel (not Marvel Studios) still owns merchandise rights separately, I believe. Whereas Disney owns all things Star Wars.

Just wanted to note here the possibility that Abrams/Bad Robot collaborator Andrew Kramer has been working on the TFA full trailer rather than the movie itself. If the former is the case, then his site should have an update about it soon after the trailer airs.

The kind of thing you see at 37 seconds in on the Trek trailer

    "From Director J.J. Abrams."

    is Krameresque.

This trailer reminds me how tiny moments can be blown up to make a film seem more sprawling than it really is.

    Two questions:
    1. Will JJ do the very 1st end credits scene in a SW film?
    2. When the credits do roll will we be sad, happy or excited and salivating for Ep8?

A fairly interesting video about Andrew Kramer's work on TFA. Not a wild end credit sequence, but he did a lot of work on the movie. This is as interesting as any of the behind the scenes stuff on the Blu Ray in my opinion.
