Looks wise, gender, face etc.. I agree although her mannerisms and nervous almost ADHD-like energy is closer to young Anakin and Luke...

But personality-wise and ability-wise...I stand by my post above.. To me, as of now, she has the naivity and day dreaming of Luke, but the technical genius and resourcefulness of Anakin

At first glance, Kylo's move may seem more powerful, but I suspect that Vader just opted for the more hands on (heh) approach cuz teh kewlness.
I mean, seeing a guy eat blaster bolts with his hands should be pretty intimidating, don't you think? Makes you wonder what would happen if you threw a punch at him...

 

Anakin: 23 years old when he turned from the Light Side
Luke: 23 years old when he refused to turn to the Dark Side
Finn: 23 years old when he turned from the First Order

 

Ben: 23 years old when he massacred Luke's Jedi.

Jyn: 23 years old when she joins the Rebs.

 

19 and 23 seem to be pretty major ages in this series.

Luke: 19 in ANH
Leia: 19 in ANH
Rey: 19 in TFA

And if I remember correctly from a book back in the day, AotC occurs right after Anakin turned 20, so he's sort of on the cusp.

Han 29 in ANH

Ben 29 in TFA

Also Poe Dameron is 32 in TFA, while Han is in TESB (and technically RotJ, since I'm assuming he didn't biologically age while frozen in carbonite).

I'm really hoping enough time passes throughout the St so that Luke is 57 by IX, the same age Obi-Wan was in ANH.

 

Yes I think there will be a gap between 8 & 9 to allow.......

Yes, it would've been nice for Han to stick around, reunite with Luke, etc., but he's changed. He went from "Better her than me" with Leia's execution to reaching out to Kylo and dying in an act of love.

 

Haha, I was just cracking a joke. Figured I'd throw a wrench in the "Han shot first" argument for funsies.

 

Dooku & Palpatine had similar "waiting, long & time" worded statements like Greedo & Ren.

 

In A New Hope Vader also had, "I've been waiting for you, Obi-Wan. We meet again at last."

 

PALPATINE: Do what must be done, Lord Vader! Do not hesitate, show no mercy. Only then will you be strong enough with the dark side to save Padmé.
