ST TFA Trailer (#3)

Doubtful being as he's growing the beard again.

Mind you he's looking pretty Wing Comander in these recent pics so maybe he's returning to that other bearded role!

 

He's definitely not finished filming. His daughter is here in the UK as his official employee, updating his Twitter and social media. And I know he's back in the UK for episode eight. Hate to be cryptic but let's just say my job involves people arriving in the UK and why.

Actually, he is, kinda. He's starring in the spiritual successor, Squadron 42.

 

I still say trailer #3 is one of the best trailers I've ever seen in my life and never have gotten the same goosebumps from another. Not sure how people like the international one more

 

With the special to air on ABC tomorrow, I will say the marketing is actually NOT BAD!

I would be surprised if it's dark and serious tone like we seen already. I wager that tomorrow for the average ladies viewers, we will get to see some casual dialog and humor for the movie!

 

I agree. Think people simply find some of the shots in the international trailer to be better (opening shot, the sunset and speeder shot, and the TIEs in the sunset, to name the few standouts).

 

I still go with Trailer #3!

The person who made this deserves a badge. It clearly illustrates how you shouldn't get too excited for a movie from a trailer.

 

The prequels were not disappointing because there was nothing in them that was good, they were disappointing because there was so much bad mixed in with the good.
Fanedits eradicate most of the bad and you get much better movies.
Force Awakens will not have as much bad as the prequels, no way in hell

 

I can't like this enough. It's simply awesome and it makes a great point. Trailers in general have some of the best clips from the movies.

On another note... You know the thing about the prequels is as much as they get bashed, they are still FULL of awesome stuff too.

 

Those to hate the PT remember that the empire was defeated by a band of care bears in RotJ

Well, ROTS is currently my second favorite SW movie behind TESB, sooo...

This trailer IS well-made!

Wow that was really great mash up.

 

Except that isn't clips from one movie. So if that had been one movie maybe it could have been good. Also, that trailer isn't nearly as good as the one for TFA either.

 

That's brilliant. Very well done.

Though it's still difficult to escape a lot of the sub par visuals (and some of the less convincing acting) from the PT, which are blatantly evident even in this thrilling cut of the three films. I haven't seen anything like that in the TFA trailers thus far.

Still, this is a good reminder.

Yeah the trailers validate greatness. TFA looks good but I do not know if it will be. That PT trailer mash up was very good though.

 

The fact they needed to pull audio and visuals from 3 movies to replicate a trailer of one movie is telling. Yes if you only kept the best parts of the PT, throw away the fat, and were able to put it together in a logical way a single PT movie would be incredible.
