I just want to thank the 501st Star Garrison for their efforts and all our SA Fanforce members who came out to help and participate. I apologize that I didn't get everyone's name, but I know many of the 501st members traveled from Houston and Austin to help and you have my thanks.

I had a great time and Lisa organized things beautifully.

I enjoyed it thoroughly! It was great to meet y'all and my appreciation for what you all did to organize this. I believe all in all, it was a success for us and the kids.
Thanks to all who contributed both time and money to make this happen. It seems like for every one in armor that it takes a support person to keep them rolling, so I'd also like to give kudos to you that were there in support.

It was great to meet everyone involved. I echo John's feeling and I think it turned out great - even with our initial setback. Next time we have to get everyone up on the main ward for the visit. I was surprised that everyone from out of town who said they were coming made it. That's great, I was sure someone wouldn't show.

I think Scott's Vader was a big hit with everyone as was Wes' Biker Scout and Brandy's Female Mandelorian - kudos go to these great costumes and costumers. Also Lisa, Rita and Cassy's outfits were outstanding and were a welcome addition to the large group of us Troopers. It was great to have 6 Troopers (7 if you add Wes' Biker Scout) all decked out in armor. Looking at the pics we took (which will hopefully be posted soon) its amazing to see how impressive the entire group looked all in costume. Great work 501st and the SA FanForce. Kim and myself had a wonderful time. I look forward to any future event from either the 501st or the San Antonio FanForce.

Kim and I wound up with the extra candy and items from the Hospital visit. First chance I get I'll inventory the items and post a list of what remains. Anyone who donated these items and wants to get them back let me know and we can work on getting together. I'll store these itmes at my office for the time being unless someone else would rather hold on to them.

I want to thank all of you who participated in the visit to Methodist Hospital! I truly appreciate the effort that everyone put into it, especially those of you who came from out of town. This was our first attempt at a community service project, and while we hit a few snags along the way, I think it turned out well, and I hope everyone enjoyed it. It was great to see the kids faces light up when we entered the room, as well as the surprised doctors and nurses we met along the way. My favorite part was the endless stream of odd looks that we got in the parking garage.

I also want to say that I am really in awe of all the hard work that the Star Garrison members put into their costumes. They look incredible! Scott's Vader costume was a big hit, and Brandy's female Mandalorian armor was terrific! And all of the troopers were fantastic! It's so cool to see real live stormtroopers walking around. It almost makes you feel like you're actually in the Star Wars universe. Anyway, it was wonderful to meet all of you, and I really appreciate everything you contributed to this event, especially Kevin's awesome coloring books!

I also want to thank all of the support people who came along. I don't even want to think about how difficult everything would have been without your help; you really were indispensible!

Thanks again to everyone who participated and to John and Jim for helping to get the word out to the 501st. Hopefully, this will be the first of many SA FanForce/501st events!

    Lisa

I just received a letter from the Methodist Children's Hospital thanking us for our visit.
    This is what it said:

    Dear Friends,

I wanted to thank you again for taking the time to come visit the children with such cool Star Wars costumes. The patients as well as their families were so impressed with the awesome characters. The reverse trick or treating activity is a great event since some of the children will be hospitalized during Halloween. It means so much when people are so giving of themselves and do something positive for hospitalized children.
    Thank you so much!

    Sincerely,
    Tamula Efeovbokhan

I hope that everyone who participated had a good time. It was great to see everyone there, and I truly appreciate your participation. I think we brightened quite a few lives with our visit.

    Lisa
