Saga That Look You Give

This is a poem that I wrote a while back. It's about Qui-Gon's point of view after the Council scene in TPM.

There it is.
That look again.
Shock.
Pain.

I have seen that look
Only once before.
The first time
I rejected you.

All those years ago.
That look.
It has haunted me ever since.
I had hoped I would never see it again.

Yet there it is.
I cannot wipe it off your face.
Nothing can.
Please, my child, do not give me that look.
