Yeah -- and anyway, how do you know? You haven't seen it either.

 

It's a public service, really. I know I can't stop you from seeing this bad movie you want to see. But if I can plant that seed of doubt, maybe I can lower your expectations and help you enjoy it a bit more. It still is going to be bad though. Also, the fact that you're looking forward to it proves you have bad taste. I don't hold it against you.

 

this is actually the main reason i tend to expect the worst from films. was pleasantly surprised by the avengers, couldn't get my expectations low enough for the dark knight rises or skyfall.

also it's just more fun to rile people up than to be the one getting all riled.

 

Conversely, that movie that you hate the very idea of is going to be resoundingly brilliant and successful.

 

You just summed up Ender Sai's brain. Although, I'm sensing good intentions. That keeps it from being an exact representation.

 

I'm going to see what I want see, regardless of any sentiment telling me not to that will be found in thread.

Pfft, any criticism of said film is sure to be unfounded simply because the critic didn't get it. I will get it.

I expect the worst out of everything, therefore anything that I see is automatically better than I thought.

 

Well the world's going to end the Friday after next anyway, so all those movies we think will be good but really will be terrible we'll never get to see anyway.

Unless of course, the world isn't going to end the Friday after next.
