Saga That Wasn't Me! Responce to the OC dueling circle challenge 15# /Humor/ AU

Title: That Wasn't Me!

This is a response to the OC dueling circle. The Challenge was: "The OC discovers a side to their personality that they didn't know they had."

Summary: Moe Tharen bounty hunter and Empire slanderer, meets a side of herself she never knew existed. Flirtatious, giggly, and drunk.

Moe landed her speeder on a platform in the crowded planet of Coruscant. Instead of hopping out and heading over to the room she and her pal Skinny had rented, Moe leaned back and sighed. She had just finished her last bounty job and was beat. The 22 year old smuggler had been one of the hardest yet. It had taken her nearly two days to hunt him down. Moe smiled to herself. But I caught him none the less.

She sighed and slowly climbed out of her speeder. What she needed now was a good nights rest. Moe slipped off her bounty hunter helmet and let her dark, gold hair fall to her waist. She took a deep breath, allowing the cool breeze into her lungs.

"Hey, Moe!"

She grimaced. Moe knew that voice all to well. Captain Han Solo. He was a recipe for a disaster, and she didn't want anything to do with it. Maybe I'll just pretend I didn't hear him. Moe quickly turned towards the small hotel and took several quick strides in that direction.

"If you think I'm fallin' for that, you're way off, sister," the voice was almost in her ear.

Moe quickly masked her irritation and turned to Han with a big phony smile, "Why Han! I had no idea that was you!"

Han laughed and slung his arm over her shoulder, "Moe, you're good at a lotta things, but lyin' ain't one of 'em."

Moe sighed and rolled her shoulders back, letting his arm slip off, "All right. Whadda want now?"
"Who says I want anything?" Han said with that smug shrug of his.

"Well then, if you'll excuse me..." Moe tried to make a desperate dash towards the hotel again. Han grabbed her arm and pulled her back.

"How 'bout a drink with an old buddy?"
"You're not my buddy. And I've never drank before."
"Then you're missin' out, sweetheart."
"But, Han I---"
"No buts. You look bushed."

Han dragged her in the opposite direction. Moe sighed. Han had been kind off hitting on her for the past couple of months. Maybe if she had a drink with him, he'd leave her alone. They walked into a dingy smugglers bar. Moe wrinkled her nose at the smell of smoke and harsh drinks. Han laughed.

"It may not look like much, but it's heaven to us smugglers."

Moe shook her head and took a seat next to him on one of the stools. A grubby bar tender came up to them with a greasy rag in his hand.

"Whaddle it be folks?" He said as he swiped away some crumbs with the rag.
"Two Alderan Ales."

The bar tender nodded and reached under the counter. Moe's green-blue eyes widened as he poured two rather large drinks.

"That'll be ten fifty."

Han reached into his pocket and dug for some credits. Moe took her credit voucher out of her jacket.

"Relax Moe, I got it," Han said.
The bar tender's head jerked up, "You don't mean...Moe Tharen do ya?"
Han looked at him, "Uh...yeah."
The bar tender's eyes widened, "It's--it's on the house."
Moe smiled, "Thanks."
"I---I ain't done nuthin'! That bounty on my head was a---a joke! Yeah big joke!"
Moe laughed, "Relax, I'm not after you. I only go for the bigger bounties."

A rather relived bar tender went scuttling into the back. Han watched and shook his head.

"I guess bounty hunting can come in handy sometimes."
Moe stared at her untouched drink, "Doesn't make up for it's disadvantages."
"Why do you do it anyway?"
Moe shrugged, "Quick money."
"Aren't you gonna drink your ale?"
"Oh...um...I guess."

Moe carefully took a drink of the beverage. She swallowed trying not to gag. She squeezed her eyes shut and shook her head, trying to forget the taste.

"I'm not gonna lie, that's HORRIBLE."
"You'll get used to it," Han's voice was muffled by his mug.

Hahaha. Why would she mind kissing Han? I know I sure wouldn't!

That was very nicely written.
Excellent job on the characterization and the little "it wasn't me" twink at the end was very cute.

Han blinked, "I don't believe you have...."
"Han?"
"What now?"
"You have a cute butt," Moe dissolved into a fit of hysterical giggles.



Excellent response to the challenge, it was hilarious. I was initially enticed by the word "drunk" and you had me in stitches from start to finish Though of course its not a good state to be in...

 

So the charming Han Solo needs a little boost from the booze in your OC's eyes. This is hilarious! Great job and response to the challenge.
