    Hey,

I've decided that I am done with contemporary sci-fi. It has lost both heart and soul. I'm finished. I realized this when I discovered I enjoyed Dancing with the Stars more than debates over who the cylons are and why Qui-Gon did not diasppear at the end of Episode I.

    I'm finished. I quit.

On the other hand, I have decided to start my own Retro-Pop Rock Band and call it "Fed-UP".

I'm going to do the vocals and am taking auditions for all the other members including doey eyed female groupies.

Whoever wants in on, what I believe, will be a major hit - let me know. We can have our rehersals after the next meeting at CQ.

    Let's Rock and Roll!

    Edric

As respected of your opinion I am consider this:

Media dictates what we watch, the almighty dollar dictates what they advertise more. Sci-fi fans have an interesting edge over these so called "reality" shows. I've watched Apollo, Billy Ray and the "Stars" only because my gf has asked me to and I will tell you this imo, all shows like that lack substance.

It doesn't leave you wondering what's going to happen, how they did it, the physics behind it or how exactly Mark Hamill became a drug addict lol, sci-fi allows the mind to see behind reality, creating a suspenseful atmosphere and then begins to incorporate an intricate network of Who's, Why's, When's, and Where's.

The only "why" question I had is why did Billy Ray stay on the show so long, he was a horrible dancer lol!!!, guess he tried though.

As far as your band is concerned Gl with it, huge amounts of time, $$$, persistence goes into them, just remember, keep the drummer happy, everyone's happy lol.

    Later tater

You've got to be kidding. You would leave behind all of sci-fi for a low-brow dancing show?

    Now that's just frakkin silly.

Sci-fi has been your life-long friend.

Did you not read the fine print?

    Once a sci-fi cult member...ALWAYS A SCI-FI CULT MEMBER.

Folks I think Edric has been a victim of a 1970s style cult deprogramming. Most likely instigated by his well-meaning (but delusional) co-workers and parents.

Edric repeat the following emergency mantra...

    "Sci-fi is my only high."

    "Reality shows are a lie."

    "Sci-fi is my only high."

    "Reality shows are a lie."

    "Sci-fi is my only high."

GOOD! Now keep repeating this mantra for the next six hundred and sixty-six days.
