    Well, if we're going to do it like that, then I vote for the conspiracy theme. 8-}

Jumping in to this *unofficial* poll, my guess would be that JW would call it the Separatists/Dooku's Theme. They are behind the mystery and the theme is, of course, a clue. ;)

    [face_mischief] :D

It's the least I can do TLJ, seeing as how I killed it the first time. :p

Haha! Way to go, Kenny. :D I was wondering how this got up here when it was locked just earlier today. :p

Anyhoo, I say it's the Mystery Theme. :D

I'm trying to envision (enlisten?) what this theme and the other "mystery" theme (Kamino/Dooku speeder) might sound like cranked up with horns or other full orchestral arrangements...

Doesn't one of these need to be Tyranus/Dooku's Theme?

Yes Ken I agree... one of them is Dooku's theme.... but which one?

If anything, I would guess that the theme we're talking about in this thread is Dooku's Theme, not the one heard on Kamino and when Dooku rides his speeder away. I'm guessing that music was supposed to be just for Kamino, but the musically-minded George brilliantly decided to edit the score yet again and copy the music from Kamino into Dooku's ride.

My vote is "Dooku's Theme". Second choice is "Dooku/Separatists' Theme". I think it's most closely associated with Dooku, and it also sounds to me like it was inspired by Ben's theme (the Force theme) heard backwards (retrograde for music theory junkies). This makes sense as Dooku is sort of the opposite of Ben, circa the OT.

If Dooku turns out to be the one who posed as Syfo-Dias when the clones were ordered, then I would immediately call it Dooku's Theme, since that's what the entire mystery is surrounding.

But, since I would guess that it was Palpatine/Sidious (interestingly enough, Syfo-Dias was originally Sydo-Dias in the early scripts... Sure sounds like "Sidious" to me).

Anyhoo, I still stand by the "Mystery Theme". :)

I still stand by The Dangerous and Disturbing Theme

or The Phantom Menace: Sithman's Dangerous and Disturbing Theme from Episode 3

Well, as there is interest in this topic...

The two "mystery" themes are used in several circumstances. One seems associated with Kamino, but is also used as Dooku flees on his speeder bike.

But Ken, that music as Dooku rides away is just an edit from earlier, and just used as "filler" music, isn't it? I mean, I dun really see any connection.

Ah, but I still stand beside calling the theme that this thread is discussing, "The Mystery Theme". :)

Well, isn't Lord Tyranus the common theme in all of it? The Separatists, recruiting Jango, and obviously scenes where he appears...it's all him.

Well, yah, but like when Obi-Wan and Anakin drag Zam out onto the alley behind the Outlander, it's playing, and it plays as Obi-Wan sits at the terminal in the Jedi library, those scenes are just dealing with the mystery surrounding the plot, and not Count Dooku, it seems.

But I dunno, I'm probably wrong, as usual. :p

Silly Sithy, of course you are wrong... :p

Dooku is the link to the mystery surrounding it all.

A few weeks ago I watched "The Cell" on DVD and I hardly couldn´t believe my ears: The main theme of the movie is almost the same as the "Mystery Theme" from AOTC. You just have to watch the menu screen of the "The Cell"-DVD and you will hear the "Mystery Theme" music.

I´d like to call it the Separatist motif. It can also be called Dooku´s theme/motif, but mainly, I would say that it belongs to the Separatists.
