I'm trying to think that it was either Typo or NYJ that was singing R1's praises last draft... [face_thinking]

If it was Typo, then this is really odd...

    So Yubsie wins it!

Congratulations on a fine victory, and my deepest sympathies with Rogue, who almost had enough. Just almost.

So, I guess we can start talking about improvements for next draft?

    6 or 8 pilots? 12 GMs still?

What else do you guys think needs to be added, or improved? Ideas? Feedback?

I'm on the run, but the idea I had a while back is to have a free agency period (say 24/48 hours) after round three, where people can change around their rosters.

I'm also a firm believer in maintaining a 12 person draft with 8 per team. With 6, there's just too much talent left on the board at the end.

If you want to go to 6 pilots then you better add more GMs. If not stick with 8.

Part of the fun is coming up with a good 8 pilot team when you're pretty using up most of the talent on the board.

12 x 8 is probably the best for this draft. Too many good pilots for only six per team.

Congrats Yubs. Though I am annoyed with some aspects of the last judging (Hobbie > Jag??? Nrin > R1??? etc.) I don't mind (too much).

Add to that that he's a Luke wannabe.

There are plenty of facts available to prove why both of your complaints on individual matchups are correct. Most people are too lazy to actually look, and just go with their gut on them. Also, Wookieepedia is not really your friend. Primary sources are.

    He's still a Luke wannabe.

And if Yubsie's truly that bad at the game, then she's right as well. :p

My Rebel Assault experience largely consists of flying into walls on the training mission. :p

[face_laugh] Yubsie! But you're still probably better than the average Adumari pilot.

The roster could probably use some updating. BoShek, Jan Ors, and Ben Skywalker all ought to be cut, and I'd argue Quin Vos and Izal Waz as well.

There are also quite a few pilots could probably be added to the roster... for example, why are the Fetts left off?

Also: Who's Merrick Simm? I can't find anything on the Wooki, but the name sounds familiar.

ETA: Oh yeah, and I gotta suggest in vain once again that Vader and Anakin be combined.

I tend to agree that Anakin/Vader need to be combined.

Merrick Simm doesn't exist. The character's name is Merrick Simms. He was the commander of Blue Squadron in Rebel Assault I.
