    Im trying to make teams and I don't like my Juno vs Vessery odds :p

    Crespin vs Varth

    So although not explicit, she does have a sizeable amount of flying experience to her credit before the YV war.
    In Rogue Sqaudron, she flies in their opening engagement against the YV (2 pilots are killed), defensive action at Dubrillion flying against a miid ro?ik, then at Dantooine.
    So Rogue Squadron against 2 squadrons of coral skippers. Look how that ends up:
    Rogue Squadron with 50% casualties? Ridiculous. How many other times have we seen the Rogues lose half of their forces in a dogfight (it's also fairly even 2v1, as opposed to some of their battles, which are highly stacked against).
    At Garqi
    Again, the Rogues taking on a numerically larger force, against which they previous took heavy losses.
    At Ithor:
    I won?t posit exact numbers here, but based on prior engagements, that a lot of coralskippers. Seriously, a huge number of them.
    Shortly into the battle:
    Here Gavin is happy that eight (EIGHT!) Rogues are still functional. Crazy?
    Varth later fights during the battles are Kalarbra and Sernpidal, during the second year of the war, facing ?stiff resistance? (wookiepedia)

    So, Varth has a notable flying career, marked by flying with the Rogues against the YV at the beginning of the war, when the fights were stacked against the NewRep. She survives at least into the 2nd year of the war, being one of 4 (Gavin, Nevil, and Inyri also) to survive from the Rogue's first mission vs the YV up through the 2nd year.

    Crespin: Defected (shameless ploy to influence Jello :p) to the Alliance, leading an A-wing squadron. While he was promoted to General, we have no specific details regarding his service or combat record. Zilch. W then see him fly in escape from Folor base, at Ession, and then at Selaggis. None of which, imo anyways, match-up to the difficulty of the early YV starfighter battles.

    Crespin's stock is largely based on his rank of General (again, we know nothing of his combat experience prior to Folor). Meanwhile, Varth has more verifiable experience, and against much tougher opponents, than Crespin. Varth should be able to defeat Crespin here.

    EditDamnit...why does this happen? [face_plain] I'll note that neither Jello nor Adam voted on that match, but if we can't go back, w/e

    near as i can tell if they don't explicitly say something different they're agreeing. if they said one thing different they agree on the others.

    i'll get an argument up sometime soon. might be monday before i really can, but won't be after that at the latest.
