no, it's more that i kinda figured that with stele being gone that people would probably go more non-traditional. and jacen isn't precisely an imperial pilot. *shrugs* and by wealth of other options i meant picking up people that normally go in the second in the third, etc.

 

Well Stele isn't really required to have an Imperial/Sith type team, he would be really nice but it isn't a must.

I could have picked up other options, sure, but Jacen is right where he needs to be since he does normally go in the second and it is now the third.

Jacen is better (skill, force and experience) than most of the other options I could have looked at. I could have thrown any type of cohesion out of the window and went with a good Rogue or Jedi, but that would be even worse than having Caedus.

i'll give you a bit of free advice. lara probably shouldn't even be drafted with 8 teams. she's an 8th rounder, and even that's arguable.

Ehh, there's more on Lara than there is on Myri, but the point is I could have come up with several better combos easy.

 

Why so down on Lara?

 

she has very little shown experience, and she was involved with the wraiths which weren't really used as a fighter squadron so much. she's been argued in the past, and she's just not viewed very well by the judges. and they have read, re-read and know the books she's in really well.

 

Makes me sad. I love Lara.

 

she's a good character. not... the best pilot. although, she's still better than all the nameless scrubs that we never even find out about. so there is that.

 

Well, I think part of her problem is she keeps going up against the best of the best - Wedge and fake!Fel - not to mention the fact that she had to pretend to get shot down to fake her death. I can see the arguments, but I think she is actually an elite pilot.

I should probably go make tallies of all the kills for my pilots...

 

which is basically what i said, that by most standards she's elite. but by the standards of who is in this? not so much.
