I've updated the list and I must say that anyone participating should be prepared... You're all getting very good at this. Or maybe it's BAD. Either way, I think we're in for some great reads!
Yaaay! YAY! Sign me up for Beyond please!
I don't even hesitate anymore.
I've never participated in this before, so I'm a little fuzzy on where to find the dare challenges. Will the dares be emailed or will they be in the challenge index, and if so, could you provide a link? I found it once before, but can't remember where.
By Feb. 21st, you'll get your dare PMed to you. And the dare you wrote will be PMed to someone else who will attempt to fulfill the requirements of that dare.
I'll take Before. I only really feel comfortable writing KotOR era stuff.
Oh, to hell with it, I'm in. Sign me up for Beyond the Saga.
Now to think of a dare...
I'd like to sign up in the Before the Saga era please.
If you want to take part in this challenge, PLEASE make sure that you PM one of the Fan Fiction mods with 1) the era you want to write in, and 2) your dare, and please specify if your dare could be written in more than one era!
Thanks for the reminder, VaderLVR. I just sent mine in...
I have two questions.
Does our dare have to be the same era as the one we're signing up for?
Can the dare be anything we want it to be? As in, are there any limits or constraints?
If you're putting your dare in an era you're not writing in, it really would be easier when it comes to assigning them if your dare could be done in more than one era. Example: you want to only write in Saga, but your dare could be done in Saga or Beyond.
That said, we do have several people that have already turned in dares that could be written in more than one era, so we won't REQUIRE that. But it would make things easier for the person (**Trace**) giving the assignments!
The only limits are TOS and the 2,500 word thing, meaning if you REQUIRE more than that, the writer can only be judged on the first 2,500 words, which sort of puts them at a disadvantage. You can require 2,499 words for example and not hinder them at all. Or 1,897 words, something like that. Make sense?
I'll have to think of an interesting challenge now.
A dare actually popped into my head!
So I'm in Preferance for 'Before', but 'Saga' is fine as well.
Dumb question, but I'm confused. I signed up to write in an era in this tread, yet I still need to PM a mod with the same info? If so, I understand why, I think, I just want to have it clear. Thanks.
Yes, you need to PM a mod. You should PM a mod telling them the era you want to write in AND send in your dare at the same time. You don't want to post your dare here for all to see (part of the fun is guessing who submitted which dare) AND it would be difficult to wade through all the posts to find those who want to participate. It's far easier simply to PM a mod.
That's what I thought. Thanks!
so then i should redo my whole thing, with the era i'm writing in, the entire dare and it's era/s as well?
I'm in for Beyond! *cackles evilly*
I've thought up an appropriate dare, so consider me a part of this challenge.
Finally got my Dare in.
I tried thinking up something really evil but I think I'm too nice for evil-ness.
Mine isn't so bad.
The suspense is killing me! I can hardly wait to get my dare.
I still need to think of my dare. My dramatic lit essay kind of just jumped on me and I kind of forgot that I haven't submitted one yet.
just like to say that if another dare is needed, i'd be happy to oblige with whatever era and so forth it's needed for.
