When will people realize that 90% of Indy films suck?

Well, I know it's multifaceted. You can't deny that a round of big-budget flops would contribute to industry woes.

I strongly disagree. While Inde films may be well done, they are generally incredibly pretentious and unenjoyable. Very few are worth a second viewing. I have no faith or interest in the Inde sector.

That would mean the end of my trips to the cinemas.

Let's not forget 'Bond 24' (hopefully) in the latter end of 2015... :)

I think we're going to see two or three films do as well or better than expected, and everything else just does okay.

Hollywood please take note: Gravity is a non sequel, what used to be called an "original story" that looks like it cost $250 million but with a production budget of $80 million.

Do they really think a Warcraft movie will do well? And isn't Avatar 2 coming out around that time too?

I agree with the unenjoyable part, but the lack of instagram filters on it makes it decidedly not pretentious.

I'm game for the R-rated blockbuster to make a glorious comeback.

We still have them, just few people see them. (300, Dredd, Immortals, Conan the Barbarian, etc)

300 made a crap load of money while Immortals was a modest success. The other two did poorly though.

Luckily Dredd has since landed squarely in the "cult film" basket, and is apparently making good cash in home video sales.

Oh and let's not forget Kick Ass, Boondock Saints, and Equilibrium. Damn, R-rated blockbusters sure are sweet.

Boondock Saints was only a cult hit, and I'm not entirely sure about Equilibrium since it didn't make much money either. No, I'm talking about the glory days of Rambo, Die Hard, Terminator, and anything else made with these three gentlemen. They always made a *** ton of money on a consistent basis.

Did they take note when that happened in 2009 with District 9?
