STILL IN SHOCK OVER THIS BUT....

Found out last night that a huge 200 + page case study and summary I did on Special Education and Assessment Techniques and Implementations was presented by one of my Professors at California State Legislature a while ago to help support some new positive Special Education laws for our kids.

The study is also now being used as a new standard in our University's Special Education Master's Program. (and this isn'n EVEN my thesis!!!)

Still in shock, still honored and completely floored that it was singled out and used.

Siri is the one that insisted I post this and share as a number of us here share that connection to these kids.

YAAYYYY!! *Super huge hugs* I am SO proud of my Master.

That kind of dwarfs my announcement I was going to make.
I've been cast in Davis Musical Theater Company's production of "Camelot"!
I will have a singing solo as Nimue in act 1 and will be playing Lady Sybil for both acts.
My feathered compatriot will also be making a featured cameo.

Performances are February 23, 2007-March 18, 2007;
Fri & Sat at 8:15 p.m. and Sun at 2:15 p.m.

Got a huge hug and an even bigger grin from someone who is breaking the code to reading and finally read his first sentence all by himself!!!!!

(Plus I got given not only a sticker BUT a hand stamp that says "Good Job" from this student as well...his idea. LOL)

Puts life into major perspective. I love "my" kids!!!

 

Aww...yay! Hugs, grins, stickers and stamps! Just kinda puts life in perspective and makes the world look a little brighter.

Now, if only I got stickers when I do something right at work. Although, we do get gift certificates for pizza or ice cream when we do something especially good. Guess that's better than a sticker.

Indeed! That's the good thing about Mondays (or any day really). It only lasts 24 hours and you will probably sleep through 8 of those (more if it's a slow workday).

 

My sister & hubby were in SoCal for 10 days, and they brought back loot for myself and my boyfriend!

We each got StarWars shirts from Disneyland, a hat for him from the Tar Pits, key chains for me from WB studio, The Tar Pits, Disneyland, and Hard Rock in Tijuana!!!

I can't wait to get back out there! I'm hoping to be back next year for my 10 year high school reunion down in Cathedral City... and take like an extra week to run around and do the touristy thing too!

Kaya (red-tailed hawk) caught a gopher snake!!! And not just any gopher snake, a 5 ft. long snake!!!!
This thing was as long as I am tall.
It wasn't exactly what we were hunting for, but since her confidence on rabbits got shaken I'll take what I can get.
