Numbers seem to love Darkslayer and hate everyone else :V

I doubt any argument I can make will win me this when it comes to Revan. On the other hand, I dunno if even prep helps Malak all that much. He's almost the classic example of all bark and no bite. The only fights he has (against Force users) are overpowering Bastila- who is still a Padawan, let's remember -a still amnesiac Revan (who may have been able to beat him then), and on the Star Forge. Where he lost to Revan despite having a bunch of boosters.

Unless I've missed something.

Wolf and Shado aren't the most impressive pair, but they've got more relative feats, and it's two on one.

 

Yeah, Lumiya would never beat Ulic even with a week of prep. But whatever...

Lumiya reasoning was this: Lumiya unprepared managed to stalemate Mara and at least hold off a peak Luke before basically sacrificing herself so Caedus could ascend. Prepared, she knows what she's going up against. Ulic is not prepared has no idea what she can do or who she is. That's why I said barely in my reasoning. It's entirely down to the prep.

I would like to know why The Vanguard bothered to trump anyone. Seriously. Only Vader gets an autowin and Qui-Gon might win his. But the rest? They all get slaughtered. Could have had a 8-2 record, possibly a 9-1. Instead, Tunick gets 3 wins.

 

Aryn Leneer put up decent results against Darth Malgus by herself, even managing to wound him in the course of their fight.

She ended up running away from this fight, but not because she felt overpowered in any way. She decided to go kidnap the Sith Lord's girlfriend. Honestly a big mistake on her part, she could possibly have taken him if she'd continued the fight here. First rule of fighting a Sith Lord, don't make him angry. Anyway, here's most of the next fight between them:

This time she ended up losing the fight in the end, but was spared by Malgus for some reason. Still though she put up quite a fight against him, and very likely would have won if she'd had her trump option with her. Her Jedi Master, Ven Zallow. While he is not quite the combatant that she is, he himself is no slouch either. As has been stated many times throughout these drafts, the Master/Padawan bond is nothing to be scoffed at in a matchup. These two know each other's fighting styles inside and out, and they have fought together for years in this conflict with the Sith.

Just for fun, here's Ven Zallow's tragic fight with Darth Malgus.



When it comes down to it, Sora Bulq is not Darth Malgus, nor has he ever been on a level close to Darth Malgus. It would really take Darth Malgus or better to seriously contend with this natural trump.

This will explain my week in a nutshell, minus the copious amounts of drugs that Hunter would have done, but the exhaustion at the end is the same. I won't get anything up until Saturday at the earliest, so if it's time to judge don't hesitate to move on.

I'm not going to do anything in-depth for Vaylin or Zannah- most of my previous statements apply to these matches.

I will say Zannah has extensive experience against powerful aggressive fighters (Bane) and fights very defensively. Is Starkiller the kind of person that gets frustrated easily and makes mistakes causing him to die again and again? I think so (at least that's what happened when I played TFU...on Sith Lord difficulty)

Neither Kit or Aayla have had good showings against powerful Force-users nor do they have strong lightsaber dueling experience.

 

I forgot who I was playing when I sent my numbers in.
Chalk that mishap as my first rookie mistake.

EDIT: Reading the books, I always pictured Ven Zallow to be much older-looking.

 

So in regards to Sora vs Aryn and Ven

Sora is one of the best lightsaber instructors the Jedi Order ever saw, ever. He blends classical and experimental styles, and with Vapaad is going to be bringing something that neither Aryn or Ven have ever seen before.

Found a little but good respect thread on Bulq, nothing new but have some great examples that help us measure Bulq. Rather than transferring everything here I will post the link then give a summery of what it shows.

Gives the reference for my earlier comment about being one of the best lightsaber instructors the Order ever had.
Shows a minor feat that highlights his speed, personally I found that to be a weak example.
It then has a picture of Bulq pistol whipping Tholme, not sure what that proves.
It then has an example of his telekinetic power and two scans of him throwing around Quinlan and another of him effectively pushing Windu.
He can conceal himself in the force, as he did when he killed Oppo Rancis. Could be helpful.
We know he is very close to Windu when it comes to combat, as proven with a series of scans that show him stalemating Mace for a good while.
Scans showing he is far superior to the likes of Tholme and Quinlan Vos, he has beaten them both.

Aryn and Ven have some good showings. Aryn however was seeking revenge and had a lot of personal motivation in that fight, that isn't how she normally fights and that specific battle with Malgus she seemed to be drawing on some rather dark stuff, that seems like an uncharacteristically high showing that was dependent on some well developed history and emotions between the characters.

She doesn't feel anything for Bulq.

Ven is the larger threat for sure, but I think his fight with Malgus was less impressive than Aryn's was. Go look at the trailer again with their fight, Malgus was clearly superior by an good margin and Ven was on the defense most of the time until he got one shot in, which gave Malgus the opening to make the kill. It wasn't even that long of a fight.

How long does that showing stand up against someone very close to Windu in regards to lightsaber combat, wielding an extremely aggressive and never seen before form. On the flipside of that Bulq is a master of all the classical forms (as shown in that sourcebook clip earlier) and intimately knows the styles of Ven and Aryn. His advantage here is instant, from the moment the fight starts he has full knowledge of their styles and he is bringing a deadly surprise of his own, that seems like a significant tactical and practical benefit to have in a fight.

He is a blademaster and would certainly recognize the forms of Aryn and Zen faster than they could figure out Vaapad given he and Mace invented it. That does give him a specific advantage. I don't find Ven Zallow all that special aside from the fact that he lasted against Malgus for a while. So there is nothing there that convinces me Zallow will outmaneuver Sora in blades. Aryn is also an interesting case. The novel makes it clear that she was fighting angry. Well, Sora's a dark jedi so he's not unused to anger. But the thing for me here is whether I believe Sora can hold off two opponents which I think yes, he can.

1. Kit Fisto/Aayla Secura vs. 1. Vaylin - Guess I won't be hearing anything on this one. Ok then, based solely on her game appearances so far and the raw force power she has demonstrated, I lean heavily towards Vaylin. But. Here's why I'm not voting for her. Kit and Aayla are both masters. Both have dealt with opponents that are power, skilled duelists but also just a bit too unhinged. For Aayla, that was Aurra Sing. For Fisto we saw how he handled Grievous. The raw power is great, but I've yet to see proof that Vaylin actually has the skill to match. I therefore think these two fully trained jedi could outsmart her and take her down.
5. Galen Marek vs. 5. Darth Zannah - Similarly, this is why I am voting Zannah. Her skills and training beat Vader's incomplete training of Starkiller. Her skills in sorcery and with a double edged saber give her the advantage she would need over Marek's raw power.

I'm going to go ahead and do what I've seen others do in previous drafts and reference TLI's past arguments for my guys.

TLI's Ven Zallow Respect: Ven did more than just hold his own against Malgus when you read it instead of just watching it.
TLI's Aryn Leneer Respect: Scroll down just a bit, starts halfway through the post

Alone I could see Sora being able to deal with Ven, and maybe even hold off Leneer for a while. If Sora does manage to take out Ven, then the argument about her not giving this fight her all would be null. But I doubt Sora will manage to break through a cohesive master/apprentice trump who have been fighting lightsaber wielding Sith for years, their combat together will leave no gaps in defense for their opponent to exploit. Just like we saw in the Satele/Kao Cen Darach fight against Malgus and his Master, when a duo knows each others fighting styles as intimately as a master and apprentice, they will have no trouble blocking for each other when the other is unable to. This in turn allows them to press their single opponent much harder than they could alone. Alone, I think he would be fairly even with each of them, but they are not alone.
