    The Four Sisters

It's a series of 6 poems I came up with once during one of my classes. I was wondering what daughters of Palpatine might have ended up like.

it's 100% AU... so don't try and look for it in the EU...

    and all original characters.

    A Tale Best Untold

Two suns and a third that wasn't
Endless fields of sands, creatures of dreams,
Life on the brink of death's reign.
    Who lives there, lives dead.

A story, endless yet never begun.
It is meant only for dark corners
A tap cafe with the worst of the worst
safe there, from a distant ruler with no mercy.

    The woman has no name.
Sometimes Miena, sometimes not, depends on the teller
But never the same, and only in dark corners.
Human, they say, or maybe something else...

One day she came, cloaked in black
None saw her face; none knew her name.
The sun burned down on her,
and the white statues besides her.

    It happened at night
A stranger came and took her daughters.
She wept but once and then no more
So it happened and so it is retold.

White statues replaced by scarlet ones
and none dared move, eyes everywhere.
    4 daughters, names but whispered
and the 4 the mother let go.

In the sea of dunes, lost amidst the sand, they grew,
far from an endless city of grief.
    Twin suns their companions while
    smugglers came and went.

The voice in the dark falls silent.
It is unwise to say more, to go further.
Scarlet and white still seek Black's daughters.
    ears and eyes are everywhere.

The void of space, the reign of silence
has damned this story to dark corners.
And a silent ship glides by
twin suns and a third that wasn't.

Your talent for weaving words together is intoxicating, almost as intoxicating as the light in your eyes [face_love]

    Awesome, Calandria!

    The Wild One

Long ago, born in a place of despair
abandoned on a world of death,
she grew and flourished and forgot.
    But never did she forgive.

Shauna, the daughter of the moon,
the wild, the free, a smuggler born.
    Racing through stars and space
    without a thought to spare.

In a fast ship she went
    till a pilot she met
    with him she fought
    against a moon of steel.

    A daughter they had
    and enemies to spare
    and before long
    black murder was done.

Two generations dead, a heart of grief
    She remembered her wild years
and sought revenge for a loved one lost.
Who would mourn a Wild one?

    A husband almost broken
He loved her and knew her
but in her rage she died a stranger
Soon a distant memory of past years.

    And sisters quietly grieving
    never having understood
    never having truly known
the wild one of the pack

    Stars live and die
    Names come and go
    gone she is
in a distant blaze of glory

    The void has claimed her
    a husband and sisters
    the only ones ever close
to the wild one of Black's daughters.

    Whoah this is getting good! [face_blush] thank you! It was by accident that I saw it though. But this is also very good. I've never been able to write long poetry, though I'm working on something. Strange how you can be inspired by "Paradise Lost" 8-}

Elfsheen Strange indeed :p I've never read it... but before I take my final exams i'll end up having to (english lit student :p )

and thank you. Your opinion as a poet means a lot to me. Cause I think you're good. Also that's my first attempt at writing long poetry. NOrmally I keep it sweet but short. (But I'm working on the sequel... :D about half way done with that :D )

    The Quiet One

    Stars live and die
and every so often a princess born
sad is her tale, abandoned by mother
    past lessons never forgotten.

Shala, the daughter of the light,
the quiet, the strong, the fighter born.
    She stands when all fall
yet never holds thought for herself.

    An idealist, her perfect match
    when he should have fallen
    stayed to stand with her
    his ignorance his strength.

    To her birthplace they went
braving a father colder than space
freeing a mother longing for forgiveness
    But chance never came.

Twins and a son only comfort
    as mother, sister, and niece
desert life for the bliss of death
and a husband chasing dreams not his own.

She fights for peace, struggling for victory
    but memories haunt
    forced to meet past
    a black heart covets her.

Husband entwined, in net of lies.
His safety assured, by her blood
    an angle of mercy
dying for a fight not her own.

    And grieved she is
    yet one more sister gone
    Somehow the stars spin on,
    and the suns shine bright.

    The void has claimed her
    husband and children only ones
    left behind.
by the quiet one of Black's daughters.

neat Elfsheen. Actually my major is english lit and my minor complit... am a literature freak :D

    The Fallen One

    A void unclaimed
    a darkness unwarmed
    The heart corrupted
    before taken from it's source.

    Isidora, the daughter of darkness,
the fallen, the dark, the evil born.
    Returned to her father
    a god to her mind.

    Black one's orders
    she follows with no fail.
    Her soul black
    and tainted with evil.

    In a dark corner
    her sisters still rule
    but locked it is
    and few can reach it

    Killed a brother
to assure her claim to throne
    helped kill a father
    to gain an empire

    With fists of iron
    ruled her world
    till a sister returned
    long thought forgotten.

    In the quiet of night
    when no guard she raised
    her blood spilled
as a knife cut her deep

    None grieve her name
    none curse her passing.
    none remains
    who'd call her friend.

All those sad of her blood
    but even the 3 sisters
    mourn not
the fallen one of Black's daughters.

    Okay...favorite stanza...very spooky!!!

One thing I haven't really figured out yet, are you using blank verse, because some things rhyme, but others don't...or am I too stuck in the Renaissance period?

I'm not consciously using any particular kind of verse form. I was never very good at writing something completly in one kind of form or another. So I just write it how ever it comes. (hope that made sense...)

    The Forgotten One

    Memory lasts
    only this life's last breath.
    What of those times,
    when none lives to remember?

    Ruesa, Daughter of the void,
the forgotten, the shadow, the ruler born.
    From behind she rules,
    the lives of her sisters.

    Once upon a time,
the sunny one of the sisters,
    but memory forgot,
    that a fourth one lived.

    Taken to a place,
    many thought myth
    she was raised a queen,
    Drakonia's pride.

    Powerful, and wise
    she watched from afar
    as all the first born
died at the hands of the third

    Angered beyond remorse,
    she swooped down
    from a sky of shadows
    and challenged the Fallen.

The blood clings to her hands
    her soul feels brittle.
    A daughter and a son
    watch her with sorrow.

    The endless stars
    call her name
    they sing sweet songs
    of peace and bliss

    Old she grows
    memories dim
    and now who remembers
the Forgotten One of Black's daughters?

last post for those six... I'm writing on another 6 to go with this. But I'm not entierly happy with them yet so it might be a couple of weeks before I'm done with it...

    Tale's End

    long after the last traveler
    stopped listening
    and moved on
    one sister lived on.

    But the stars care not
    for the struggles of mortals
and it seemed no more time passed
than the blink of a moment.

    Vaguely she remembers
    the one called wild
    the last who'd been born
    the first to die.

    Sometimes she sees
    the quiet one
    standing silently before her
as silent as the day she died.

Of the fallen one she knows
that it was her own hand
    who stilled the beating
    of a festered heart.

    and of her self
    the one called forgotten
    she knows only
    that she once was.

    Now the memories grow dim
as the flame of her life
    fades
    with each passing day.

    Her daughter sits and watches
    sometimes catching
    bits of words
    phrases of the past.

    And the sun burned out,
    spinning slowly
    through the void
from which they had all come.
