So no Mara Jade would be welcome ;) ?

How about a Zam Wessel (supposing I miraculously managed to make the non fabricy/leather bits and bobs)?

Or is the group here more original trilogy focussed?

The 501st is most defintely not OT focused. A great number of the costumes are OT but there are alot of Jango's, Zam's and Maul's in the ranks.

There is a level of 'professionality' in the making of the costume needed to be accepted to the 501st though.

    There's different degrees of 'Professional'

While I personally don't think my costume is good enough, (need to get a better set of torso armor and a new Jetpack!) it's of a good enough level to be accepted.

But I warn you now, once you start on the path of a Bounty Hunter, you will forever be looking for the next little upgrade to make your costume better!

Hell I just finished painting my first helmet when I got word that my second helmet was nearly finished!

I just guessed the number. I knew it started with a 2 and had a 7 in there. You're lucky I got that close!

There was a n00b in the games forum called BH299889755938753495340634

/\ well, that's what we called him. I think his user id was really BountyHunter2968 or something.

You're not him are you? :p

I'm pretty well known internationally for my obsessive approach to my historical costumes;)
SCA and historical stuff.. and the Moulin Rouge areas. I'm going to take off, or put on one page all the older costumes.

The thing that is stopping me from going all out with a Zam costume is having wrists that grind bone on bone;) Which makes all the non leather/fabric parts that much harder to work on. Even scultping is incredibly painful.

And with Mara, assuming I got it all sorted out (including physical changes).. well I had too much attention from my Satine costume last time I wore it to Armageddon. It's just not fun to be honest.

I think it'll just wind up being a decade long project, the Zam;) Though melting some plastic accidentally on the stove a while back... OK last night... *cough* not that I forgot which element was actually on *cough* did give me a better idea of what I might do eventually.

It's just a pity there are few female characters in the Empire. At least canon ones;) Though if I shaved my head...... Shudder, no one wants that. We're not all like Natalie Portman ;)

I may just have to work on the Handmaiden costumes in the meantime seeing as I've been bitten by the SW costuming bug rather harder than the last time I nearly got something done.

Empire, my son, not the Republic before it turned bad or the Rebels and co ;) They do not belong in the 501st but the Rebel Legion.

Plenty of very groovy and weird women for the "good" side, just not so many canon for the Empire.
