The 7th EUC Golden Statue Awards - WINNERS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED!

Welcome to the 7th EUC Golden Statue Awards! I, Iron_Fist, am your host, and I'm honoured to bring you the Awards once again. The last Awards were a little lacklustre in voter turnout, so I hope that this time we'll have a bigger crowd of EUC'ers in to vote to make this the best Awards yet. I would like to inform you that the winner of the "Best Patron" award shall receive two weeks (yes, two whole weeks of no OPPM!) of their choice of colours and the title of "EUC Best Patron". This award is brought to you by our lovely forum managers, Genghis12 and NaboosPrincess, and the EUC Golden Statue Awards are supported and brought to you by the EU Senate. Before we get onto the nominations, though, there's the rules. To ensure fairness and accuracy in the votes, please be sure to read the rules before you start nominating and voting. Doing so will save many headaches for everyone involved, and especially for me.


The Rules

1. Your host is Iron_Fist.
2. Only users who have been active on the JC, and in this particular forum, for at least 2 months are eligible to vote and be voted for.
3. The EUC Awards will occur every six months. Users will have two weeks to nominate EUCers for the awards. The top three nominees will then move on to the next round to be voted on for the nominated award. Users will then have one week to vote on the nominees.
4. You cannot vote for yourself. Whoever does so will be exempt from all awards.
5. The winner of the "Best Patron" award will receive a title and colours for the duration of two weeks.
6. Please do not spam the thread, and do not post your "aggregate tally" in the thread. Whoever does so will be exempt from all awards. Iron_Fist will keep the tallies.
7. The previous Best Patron winner is exempt from the next award's "Best Patron" position. This will allow variety and fairness. This month, DVader316 is exempt from the Best Patron award only.
8. Socks are not allowed. If any socks that are discovered, both the socks' and the sock-owners' nominations and votes will be thrown out. There will be a 24 hr+ ban for the violation of this rule.
9. One nominee per award and one vote per award. If there are multiple occurrences of nominees, the first one will be taken and the rest will be ignored.
10. A user can nominate and vote only once so complete the form in your first post. (STRONGLY RECOMMENDED)
11. No changing nominations or votes.
12. Please type out the full screenname of the nominee. No initials or nicknames allowed or the host will ignore them.
13. In the event of a tie with an award; a Mod, the EUS Chancellor, and the Host shall have the right to break the tie.
14. The nominee with the most votes for the "Best Patron" award in the end shall be awarded a title and VIP status for 14 days. If there is a tie in the Best Patron award, voters will vote between the tiees to decide who shall get the award.
15. The person to collect the most awards in the end shall receive the Golden Statue Award.

So, in a nutshell: Don't vote for yourself, no socks, check this thread in a fortnight for final voting, and vote for one person as follows.

It's the final week of the Awards, and now it's time to vote for the final winners! Remember, no voting for yourself, and only one vote per category. Let the voting commence!

Don't be too shocked, it's a natural reaction when anyone learns they're my sock.

Admittedly, I think you might be more my yes-man. But, it was a bit tougher deciding if ousley was more likely to be my yes-man than my sock. So, blame him for taking your rightful spot.

 

I think that by virtue of being more active in both of your fora, I deserve the spot more than ousley.

Plus, if I'm your sock (and everyone knows Genghis wouldn't lie! ), then that would disqualify both of our votes and get us both a 24 hour ban. We'd have to bring in Sape, probably, and it'd go downhill from there.
