The trick is to not get stuck playing it then...or to accept the consquences of your LOLing.

I so got burned on Truth the other time I played.

Maiden, you never had sex, you never took drugs (AFAIK) - how could you possibly get burned on Truth? :p

On topic: I had a thought about why people are so - intense about J/J vs. K/J. It's the SW fandom's equivalent of the "Bangel vs. Spuffy" controversy in the BtVS fandom (which, as you may know, has also produced many a heated argument). Angel is the noble "good guy" (when he isn't Angelus, that is ;) ), like Jag. Spike is the exciting, rogueish "bad boy", like Kyp. They're archetypes, in a way.

So what it all boils down to in the end is the age-old question - "What does a woman really need?" The dashing rogue (who just needs the luuuuurve of a good woman... ), or the noble (and maybe a little bit boring... ) good guy? Ashley, or Rhett?

Maybe that's the reason why I'm pro-J/J, too - I've just had too many experiences with bad men to not appreciate a good guy who won't break my heart.

And then, I'm also not into K/J for the same reason I'm not into Harry/Hermione in the HP fandom. I have no doubt that Harry deeply loves Hermione, but he loves her in a "best friends" way, not in a "romantic love" way. Same with Kyp - his feelings for Jaina are that of a good friend or an older brother. And I think he makes a good best friend for her.

    EDIT: Post # 3333.

That is a VERY good point. Though I think there is more involved than just the archetypes. The thing that affects me more is the age difference between Kyp and Jaina. It if wasn't for that, I think I would likely support K/J, because the two of them have very compatable personalities.

Then again, it is nice to have a potentially very major character who ISN'T a Jedi!

    Devi, it's HANDMAIDEN ToD.

I think the issue is really the age difference though. :p

And I am right royally annoyed with the Great Jaina/Jag Cop-Out. :p
