Tell wants this all for himself...he's definitely better than i am at writing this sort of thing anyway.

We made a decision that Tell would write it every week. The final version is posted here after it is posted in the AC so we can all view it and offer suggestions.

It makes sense for continuity's sake. Tell will pass over the reigns once the 3 month period of the temps is over and this will go to another AC temp. Hopefully this will keep things fresh.

That's my understanding of it anyway!

"It makes sense for continuity's sake."

But is such continuity canon or merely official? :D

Yeah, that's what we need - an "Is the AC canon?" debate. [face_laugh]

The Mod Squad Report is CA's true vision. The AC Update is just officially produced fan fiction. :p

I'm pretty sure Tellesto might be canon, but Spiderdevil is Infinities, I think. Dev is certainly official, but I believe B'omarr is apocryphal. :D

Wait, my quote up there is taken out of context! I was talking about PreacherBoy and his treatment of Wormie2, not about the Slackers.

And semi-related, PreacherBoy, why are you still choosing colours?

I thought the quote best fit the mood of the moment.

And when I write the AC Updates, everyone has a hand in it. I may write the basis of the weekly update, but before posting it I put it up for the other members to read. Some may make changes, put in new stuff or ask me to rewrite certain parts.
It's more a group effort then anything.

epic- Wormie2 and I took things up privately where they belonged in the first place. I believe she has learned some sort of restraint from drawing attention to herself in Communications. As much as you want to join the games we play, you're really not invited. :p As for the colors, CA and I reached an agreement for the time being; suffice to say I am immune to any bannings until some sort of agreement and policy is reached across the board (VIPs, TFN Staff, City Reps). I didn't want to cause any trouble, so I went ahead and changed my colors to "any shade of green" (as CA put it) even though I can choose TFN Staff colors as well. This is green, with the absolute lowest luminosity possible. :p

You have to admit my thread had a catchy title.

Can I be colored again now?

Gundark just wants to be colored to improve his chances of winning an award from the Academy of Message Board Arts and Sciences. ;)

We also talked about the length of time and possibilities of permanent bans in relation with members who have broken the rules, I.E. how long should we keep them banned? Have they shown a strong improvement and newfound respect for the Jedi Council? How would the members feel if banned members were allowed back into the fold? No names can be said, of course, but some discussion on the matter is still going on.

    Don't you mean, "Obi-Zahn Kenobi"?

    ;)

"Next on the agenda was more discussion on the creation of a Fine Arts forum, in which many of the Advisory Council members determined that while it?s a nice idea, there isn?t a demand for such a forum. Initially, some users might change the goal of the forum, distort what it was created for by various parody threads, and technically, whatever would be posted in it could be taken to Community. "

This really upsets me. I really thought this was going to happen. The senate was a nice idea, and is a great success as far as i'm concerned. There have been few parody and childish threads there, and i think the same people who post in the senate would be more likely to post there as well, which means interesting threads about culture. Community is way too large now, it' s almost impossible to find an interesting cultural thread these days, and even if you do if you leave it for a day or so it's gone down to page 25.

    I want a refund. :(

But what exactly would be the *point* of an Arts forum? We already have 205 forums. What precisely would an Arts forum's purpose be?

And is there a more updated AC thread? I see this is last week's update.
