Throwback Thursday! About 8 or 9 years ago. No explanation needed.



But I'll explain anyway.

It was a Friday, I had to stay late at the squadron for some fool reason or other, and I was late hitting the road to get to a weekend medieval reenactment and fencing tournament, so I didn't bother to change, just threw my gear in the car and headed out in my flight suit, thinking I can just change into something more suitable when I get there. I was unloading my stuff into a campground cabin when somebody said, "Look, it's a Yankee air pirate!" So of course I put on my pirate hat, grabbed a cutlass, stuck a dagger in my teeth, and struck a Captain Morgan pose, as one does.

I don't know who Roland Tembo is, but it's a good outfit. Also, I make it a rule to be complimentary to people who display knives on their walls.

 

The character Pete Postlethwaite played in The Lost World:

 

Postlethwaite has a face from another era, IMO. He looked fantastic as a Puritan in Solomon Kane. I was one of the few people who liked that movie.

 

Roland Tembo could learn a lot from Sarge's restraint, if you ask me.
