I love Ashoka i remmber being a little kid and my mom and dad took me to the the clone wars movie and i grew up watching yhe clone wars series Ashoka has been part of my childhood and i am happy to see her survived past return of the jedi. I xan't belive people wanted her to die brutal

 

Well people were pretty mean towards the beginning. As I've mentioned previously, even Ashley Eckstein ventured into the forum early on during TCW's infancy; only to get tired of the harassment over the character she was voicing. I'd imagine it was probably similar to what Kelly Marie Tran was getting because the lowlifes who for whatever reason didn't like her character in TLJ wanted to let her know directly about it.

 

Funny how things cycle - another female character surnamed T__o, specifically designed to look like she doesn't belong in the universe - and arrives to plenty of fan hatred. We'll see if things turn around like they did for Ahsoka (I'd bet against it but who knows, I sure didn't predict where Ahsoka would end up.)

Well, to be fair I don't think Ashley herself was harassed, the bashing was aimed toward her character. It's somewhat "better" than harassing a real person.

 

But she still associated herself as the voice of the then hated character. And there's hardly any celebrities who are into the franchise more than she is at this point; regardless of her involvement with it.

 

I think Tran was to a large extent a victim of the movie in which her character appeared. TLJ was regarded by many as a poor movie, and since it's the only movie in which KMT / Rose Tico has gotten any screen time, she's been somewhat tarred and feathered along with it.

i love ashley she helped bring one of my frivate characters in star wars come to life and was a big part of my childhood also she seems like a very nice person in real life

 

I agree Ashley is super great.

It's pretty funny that when you said look at her eyes, we all knew it was her.

 

Thats a great speach also i that is awsome that she did that for CN i mean the old CN before it became TTG channel

no see i had seen that picture before of her and Mark Hamil but when you first post the pictures i didn't know until looking a second time that, the picture on the top was her and the actress who plays rey

 

Daisy Ridley

Ironically enough, they were actually in a movie together (as voice actresses). In the dubbing of the Studio Ghibli movie, "Only Yesterday", Daisy voices the lead character and Ashley plays her older sister (in flashbacks).
