You are building a football (U.S.A) team.

You can have any player, for any position.

What does your team look like?

On the offense, mine looks like this:

    Quaterback- Peyton Manning
    Running Back- Landanian Tomlinson
    Wide Receivers-
    1. Tory Holt
    2. Donald Driver
    3. Reggie Wayne
    Tight End- Antonio Gates

You guys can do other positions if you want, but you don't have to.

What would your team look like? Why?

(If this is sucesfull with Football, we can do it with other sports as well!)

Yep, ignoring the salary cap. But you might want to keep in mind team chemistry...(Why I didn't pick T.O...)

I'm a Packers fan... it was hard enough putting Devin Hester in the Punt Returner spot, and the only reason I did that was because Hester doesn't have any decent competition from anyone.

But Urlacher and Ian Scott could both have been number one.

and to be fair there's three linebacker spots on the field, so Ray Lewis would be in the middle and Urlacher would still start, just on the outside. :p

Kicker: The guy who players for the Colts (even though he messed up during the tournament last year, he's still really highly ranked)

. . . and that's about all I know as far as football goes :p Though I think for the rest of the players I'd draft from Indianapolis and New England.

So are you talking about Vinatieri, their kicker now, or Vanderjagt, their former kicker?

Everybody has put Peyton Manning as their top QB...

Does that make him the best QB in football?

No. Just the most overhyped. I'd pick Tom Brady as the best. I'd take him first. And even though Peyton's a better QB, I'd take Trent Green second because he's a better team leader, the intangibles. And of course because I like him a billion times more and I admit that bias :p Then I'd pick Peyton third.

I'd have to think some more about my overall team.

I can't believe only one person picked Larry Johnson as one of the top three RBs of their choice. He's right there with LT as best in the league IMO.

I was trying to make my list somewhat different than yours. :p

Plus, he's got a lot of raw talent, and I think he'll be a real good starter for a real long time. However, hopefully his success won't come against my Yanks.
