Again, NICE CHAPTER! I like how Anakin and Padme reacts to each other now, after what Anakin told her about their future together.

My guess is that Anakin's knew teacher might be Darth Maul. PLEASE POST MORE.

Chapter 13
The Reception

Anakin and Padme retreated back into the house to join
all of the other guests at the reception. They walked
into the back door just as everyone was holding up a
class of expensive Champaign. Palpatine was giving a
toast.

"I want to thank you all dear friends, for sharing in
this joyous day with me and my new wife today."

Sola handed Padme and Anakin a glass of purple juice
to hold up. Anakin looked befuddled and wondered why
he had to settle for this. As everyone had their back
to them, and Sola went back to listening to the
Senator, Anakin snuck two glasses of the Champaign off
of a silver trey sitting on the counter.

Padme waived to him to not do it, but he refused to
heed her advice. Anakin gulped down the drink, and a
grimace came over his face from the taste. He tried
to hand the other to Padme, but she shook her head
feverishly no. Anakin gulped down the second glass,
and then held his juice glass back in the air.

"Now, I have two new wonderful people in my life,
thank you all, thank you Shmi, and thank you young
Anakin, my new son!" Palpatine finished his speech as
everyone cheered and drank their drink.

Everyone then started to mingle. Shmi felt a bit
uncomfortable in her wedding dress so Jobal helped her
to go take some of the more cumbersome parts of it
off.

Palpatine shook Ruwee's hand, followed by several
other men. Palpatine then gave Anakin a look, that he
was to come to him.

Anakin made his way over to his father, and they
retreated to the living area to be alone.

?Are you feeling okay son?? Palpatine asked, as they
sat side by side on the sofa. Anakin only nodded,
feeling a little light headed from the two drinks he
just downed.

?Yes, Father.?

?Are you ready to leave tomorrow? To begin your
training?? Palpatine queried.

Anakin nodded again. ?It?s just that I am going to
really miss Padme.?

Palpatine smiled at the boy?s honesty. ?That is only
natural, she will miss you too, but soon you will be
back together. After this summer you will be more of
man, she will see you in a different light then.?

?I sure hope so.? Anakin exhaustedly said.

?Hmm.? Palpatine groaned as he evilly smiled to
himself.

?So, who is my teacher? What does he do exactly??

?He?s a very special friend of mine. I thought him
everything I know. He is not a human like you and me
though.? Palpatine explained.

?What is he?? Anakin asked looking up to his father.

?He?s a Zabrak.?

?Is he nice?? Anakin said a bit scared of meeting his
person.

?I?ll be honest Anakin, most of the time he isn?t.
But he won?t harm you. I assure you.?

Anakin nodded, now more fearful than ever, that this
person he would spend the next three months with,
wasn?t even nice. Anakin looked out the window and
let his mind wonder. His thoughts were immediately
about Padme. He already missed her.

?Anakin, there is something you must know about the
Zabrak and myself.? Palpatine admitted. ?But it must
stay between us.?

Anakin shook his head knowingly. He had a lot of
secrets he kept from everyone, except his father.

?The two of us, are a secret organization. We are
sort of like Rogue Jedi! We help the Jedi protect the
Galaxy.?

?The Jedi!? Anakin said excitedly. ?Your mean I get
to do all those wizard tricks they do??

Palpatine laughed at his innocence, such a shame it
would be ripped from him in such a violent way.

?Yes, even better tricks!? Palpatine continued. ?One
day you will be the leader of this secret
organization, you will be able to protect those you
love.?

?Like Padme??

Palpatine was amazed at his obsession with Padme, that
must be broken as soon as possible. Or perhaps it
could be used as a tool to motivate him. Yes, that
was a much better plan.

?Yes, like Padme.? He answered. ?But remember no one
must know. If you somehow ever do encounter a Jedi
from the Order, they will not know of us. We are top
secret. Only the top Jedi know of our presence

 

palpy is just sick, sick, sick. lying to anakin like that, twisting everything around.

oh well, hopefully in the end, he'll get what's coming to him.

Yes Anakin really has a obsession with Padme and I don't see it getting any better with time. So Maul is going to be Anakin's new teacher huh?

 

Jobal?s eyes widened, but she wasn?t surprised. ?I have a feeling in another year or two; she will have to beat them off with a stick.?

Shmi laughed, never knowing that feeling. ?Let?s just hope Anakin isn?t around to see, or I?m sure he would be the one doing the beating.?

"Rogue Jedi" the politically correct term for "evil, maniacal, Sith Lord." I want to see Anakin meet some Jedi, could be interesting.

jmsbndgrl - oh yea, i have two particular jedi in mind, anakin should meet them soon after he returns from his summer school teachings.

Palpy is getting scary here, poor Anakin, I'm sure he'll freak out when he sees his new 'teacher'


BTW - I'm anxiously waiting that new story of yours, being a LOTR fan, the crossover sounds pretty interesting.

i will start that one sometime, soon after i finish The Dating Game, which is gunna go about 7 or 8 more chapters.

i'd actually like to try to do a co-author thing with that story as I think the chapters would be much larger than my usual 4 to 5 pages a chapter that I do in word.

so if anyone is intersted in that idea, please contact me on AIM or through PM, and we could discuss some of my ideas for that. i pretty much have a broad outline in my head, but nothing written down yet.

and of course i've already started on The Resurrection which will probably be my favorite story, cuz it's going to have tons of Suited Vader in it. weee. i have one chapter written and a bunch of jotted notes for that one on the computer.

anyone looking for the sequel to The Way Things Could Have Been, sorry it's going to be like atleast 2 months before we even see a snippet of that on these boards. =(


my first priority is to Finish The Dating Game, and bring Deception & Deceit Episode II closer to an end, while Altered Beginning will go on for quite sometime, probably into the year 2006 I imagine.

OKay so I don't post so often..so you could say that i'm half lurker half poster....Maul is Anikan's teacher!!!! poor anikan.....i sense that anikan is going to be very twisted and angry man...lets hope.. i dunno he stumbles upon obiwan and OH!! loook he is the chosen one and they must get him away from palpy but then again, anikan has never...ever had a father in his life before and that act will only...cause more pain and hatred towards the jedi..

Chapter 14
The lessons begin

Anakin had said his goodbyes to his mother, who was
moving into Palpatine's apartment on Courscant.
Palpatine and Anakin took a small transport to the
other side of the huge city planet.

Anakin sat still next to Palpatine. The Senator could
feel his nerves racing.

"Do you have your lightsaber?" Palpatine broke the
silence.

Anakin quickly flashed it to him. "Yep right here."

Palpatine grinned and looked straight ahead.

"Good, it will be one of the first things you are to
learn how to use."

"I wish it weren't blue. I've seen on the holo a Jedi
with a wizard green saber." Anakin piped up.

Palpatine nodded. "Yes there are a few different
crystals that can change the color of a lightsabers,
one day you will construct your own, and you can make
it any color you wish. But they then, I think you
will want something other than green."

"I doubt it." Anakin quickly shot back with a wide
grin. The transport started to slow.

"Ah good, we are here." Palpatine said, rising from
his seat. Anakin jumped up and followed closely
behind him.

They exited the vessel and made their way through a
large corridor, high above the surface of the planet.
The building looked old and abandoned in some parts,
in others it looked like someone could actually live
there.

They came upon a locked door and Palpatine punched in
a combination of keys, and the door shot open. He
entered, followed by Anakin.

Anakin could see a shadowy figure facing the window on
the other side of the large room. He was cloaked and
hooded in a black robe. The Zabrak sensed their
presence and turned around.

Anakin got the first glimpse of his face. His eyes
were an evil yellow. Red and black filled his face,
and Anakin saw what appeared to be a horn under his
hood.

"Anakin!" Palpatine announced. "This is your new
teacher. His name is Maul. But you will call him
Master."

Anakin gulped. He wasn't expecting anything like
this.

"Maul, this is my son.." Palpatine's voice trailed
off.

Maul brought his hood down to his shoulders exposing
the horns coming out of his head. Anakin had never
even seen a picture of a Zabrak before. He was
curious to know if this thing could even speak.

"Hello.." Anakin paused. "Master."

"Greetings young Skywalker. I trust you will not
enjoy your stay." Maul let out a small laugh.

"Now Maul, don't scare the boy, after all it's just
his first day." Palpatine scolded his apprentice.

"Of course." Maul quickly shot back, but never took
his devilish eyes off of Anakin's.

Palpatine kneeled to Anakin and turned the boy's body
to face him. "Listen to my Anakin."

"Yes Father."

"You are to do everything Master Maul here says. If
you do not, he is not as forgiving as myself or your
mother for that matter. Do what he tells you and you
will learn much. When you return to Naboo in three
months, you will be able to impress Padme, with how
much of a man you have become."

That's what Anakin wanted to hear. That was enough
motivation for him. If this creature could turn him
into a man, a man that Padme would want, he would do
anything without question.

Anakin nodded in agreement.

"You will see your mother when this is over Anakin,
although I might stop by from time to time."
Palpatine finished what he needed to say and he stood.

"Any other instructions before you leave us, my Lord?"
Maul questioned his Master.

Palpatine shook his head no. "You are strong Maul, I
trust you will teach Anakin well."

Palpatine turned to his heel and took his leave. The
door shut behind him, leaving Anakin and Maul in the
spacious room all alone. Maul looked over the boy,
and paced around him.

Anakin stood completely still, as Maul looked on at
his new student.

"I hear you were given a lightsaber?" Maul
questioned.

Anakin gulped and nodded yes.

"You will verbally answer me, when I question you
boy!" Maul demanded.

"Yes sir. Yes Master." Anakin was mighti

 

Well Padme is well on her way to becoming Queen and Anakin is on his way to becoming a Sith. I hope your power doesn't go out too.

 

...and the Sith training begins!

Damn Palpy, trying to turn Anakin dark. The kid doesn't seem to get a break, does he?

On the other hand, I liked the beginning of Anakin's training, I assume he WILL change a lot in character when he returns with Padme and he'll prolly make an impact in his 'school'. Teacher Maul is gaining my respect, I thought the idea was wildly wikid at first, but now I like it.

aanakin - thanks, i've been staying away from jumping around in scenes too much in my stories lately, but here everyone was split apart, i thought it was appropriate, just glad i could pull it off.

jmsbndgrl - they might be stupid, but they know a story from real life. and Anakin is going to be a big whiner baby i imagine when he finds out she is queen, no more time with Padme... awwww.... i need a good brainwashing technique for myself, i'll explain for about that in a second.

Lieutenant_Jaina - glad you u liked Maul the Summer School teacher. he is going to play a pretty nice role in the next few years of anakin's life.


okay, I just woke up... i work graveyard shift, so i slept ALLLLL DAY today.

okay, i'm going insane... I dreamed i was back in 5th grade and I sat behind natalie portman.... (sound like a story you know?) I couldn't do anything in class but like pay attention to her, and my teacher was like going ape crazy on me..... ahhhhhh

then it jumped to my work, and I dreamed Natalie Portman was blind, but she was my girlfriend (hehe, works for me) and i was like helping her or something.....

i don't know... like i said i need to be brainwashed now. these stories are ruling my dreams.... perhaps i should write a vivid sex scene, so i can have a better dream tommorrow night about her.

although.... like i've said before all of this..... when it comes down. it will come down so hard, and so fast, and you people think you hate Palpatine now??? just wait until you see what he does about in about 3 years (story timeframe)



i think i've done reasonably well not letting this story get away from me. I had a bad problem with that in The Way Things Could Have Been, and it's still a small problem I think in Deception and Deceit.

that's why this story seems to move so slow, but when big things do happen, I want it to mean something.

also, the storm doesn't seem to be quite as bad as I feared, but that doesn't mean i wont lose power, but i'm praying i won't.
