Amph Spider-Man & SSU Films (Madame Web, Venom 3, Kraven, Beyond the Spider-Verse)

I'm a little unclear on whether the recently-announced summer 2016 date refers to ASM 2 or 3. Can someone enlighten me?

 

Amazing Spider-Man 3 will released in 2016 with a #4 coming out in 2018

ASM 2 comes out next year

 

Cool, thanks. The on-set pics from this film look ... heh... amazing. Paul Giamatti has a look on his face like he is the destroyer of worlds, and the new Spidey costume is so John Romita Sr. I can't even think straight.

 

Mary Jane won't appear in ASM 2 but will appear in ASM 3

Perhaps they will make their own version of the Sinister Six, I can't see Sandman being in it again and Vulture was an original idea for Spider-Man 4 which got dropped.

Scorpion might be useable, but wasn't he Venom in Ultimate Spider-Man?

Why does Electro have Christmas lights on the inside of his dark hood? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?
(Not like the hood actually hid his freaky mutated face in the first place)

 

They are a pre-FX method to create interactive light. They will be removed in the final comp and his character effects will be added and enhanced.

I think, especially given the actor he listed, it's in response to the backlash of the Human Torch being black. And people are taking it far more seriously than Andrew Garfield probably intended.

 

Did Fox go ahead and cast Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm? I heard the rumor that they were thinking about casting him but hadn't seen anything since.
