Though unless they actually reference the attack on New York, I'd just take this to mean that there is a Tony Stark in the ASM universe... not that the ASM series takes place in the MCU.

Dammit. I wish Disney would just buy the rights. To hell with the expense. Throw as much money at Sony as you have to! The MCU needs Spider-Man.

That'd have to be one hell of a check, depending on what amount Sony decides to shoot for. I guess that'd be up to the bean counters and how they rate the continuous success of the revamped franchise. Even though ASM is the lowest grossing film in the franchise, a global take of $752MM is nothing to sneeze at. So Sony knows they have a cash cow and that they're in a good position to make Disney pay dearly for the rights should they try to make that negotiation. Disney probably if not definitely knows this, so in all likelihood the best option available to them if they want to mention or even hint that Spidey lives in the MCU - let alone the possibility of interacting with RDJ's Tony Stark, as an example - is through some kind of very lucrative co-distribution deals. Granted, I know diddly squat about Hollywood politics and perhaps the possibility of such negotiations ever taking place is slim to none. But as I said awhile back in another thread, money talks etc. etc., so who knows what may happen a few years down the line.

Peter Parker gay? Highly improbable, given that the bulk of his drama comes from his love life. Cloned ex girlfriends, deals with Mephisto, etc.

If Marvel ever does decide to have a gay Spidey, it's going to be someone else in the suit.

Parker is too much of a playa' as Spidey to be gay. I mean he has Gwen, MJ and Felicia Hardy vying for his affections at various points. Plus I believe he has also kissed Silver Sable, Spider-Woman, Black Widow, Jean Grey, Sue Storm, Shadowcat/Kitty Pride & Shriek to name but a few.

EDIT -- The closest Peter Parker has ever come to being gay was when he got molested by Skip Westcot.

But that doesn't really count since
1. It was a PSA one shot that has no bearing on Marvel canon.
2. Even if it was canon, the act of being victimized does not make one gay.

Obviously if Peter Parker is gay, those 50 years are irrelevant, because it's a new take on the character.

You can throw out all those hot babes Peter had hanging on him, as a gay Peter Parker wouldn't be particularly impressed, he'd be more into James Franco.
