We just had the finale .

I've always been very fond of this show , it never tries to be Homeland or pile on twists , it just stays on the humanity of the situation .
A lot of things were unresolved but that seemed right too , it was kinda nice to se Philip and Elizabeth close again at the end .

But what about Stan's gf ?

Anyway , the finale felt right .

I think Renee is likely just someone who really, genuinely loves and cares about Stan, but his and Philip's work lends to a suspicious nature and they find that sort of warmth odd. They're used to people faking it and faking it themselves. That's the tragedy of it.

    @RandBallsStu
Keri Russell never getting an Emmy for The Americans is like when Elizabeth had to keep killing people while Philip went line dancing and ****ing up at the travel agency

By now, they both should have had at least two Emmys each for their work on The Americans (and the show at least one).
I am glad Matthew won, but am perplexed by Keri’s constant omission.

So I just started this yesterday - the pilot was incredible. '

Anything I should know ahead of time? I don't know if it's comparable to Homeland, but I gave up on that show relatively early on - hope to make it through the six seasons of this.

Yeah, there’s really no drop in quality. It’s brilliant throughout.

Homeland sucks after S3. The Americans is high quality throughout. It’s a FX series which means you can beat it’s likely gold. Hell even their one and done shows like Lights Out and Terriers are high caliber compared to most shows that were on.

And it was still on the air when people finally unclenched their ass cheeks in 2017 and let F bombs on cable. Kudos

It's a great show, gets really dark but if that's not expected I don't know what show you're signing up for lol.

Beloved character actress Margo Martindale has a recurring role in it. And Matthew Rhys is really good at looking miserable.

I'm always shocked every season that he can make himself look *more* downtrodden and burned out, but he pulls it off every time.

finished season 2 tonight, and I am wholly obsessed with it. rhys has got to be one of the best actors around, and I'd never ****ing heard of the guy before two weeks ago. shame, shame.

i hope paige is not corrupted, but with four seasons left, i suppose the odds are not great. poor nina, poor stan.

Langella is another reason to support our antagonists, Heelsy. We want those reds to win.

Someone made a good living restoring all those 80’s cars. That Camero was fly! The last season thanks to 2017 had F bombs allowed. Loved this show.
