So essentially, regardless of *how* the thread relates to the arts, regardless of whether the discussion begins with a personal issue or a sophisticated critique of the art form itself, it has to be ok with *you* personally?

No, it needs to acceptable for discussion in the Amphitheatre. The thread you posted was suited for the JCC, not here.

Any further discussion can take place over PM, as this is a FAQ, not a discussion thread.

Knightwriter and Gandolf have decided to change the movie review law. You can review movies here, as long as it makes sense. Don't just say "I thought this film was auesome. I demend you all go see it!" say something like "This film was good becasue.." or "It did have some downsides...".

 

That makes sense because if you turn to any Arts section in the papers (Broadsheets not Tabloids) you will find reviews for all types of shows in this section!
