Anakin is definitely the most exciting of the Solo kids. I'll be interested to see if he plays a large role in exterminating the Vong.

Anakin rocks. Anakin is the heart and soul of the NJO. I hate to break it to the people who get mad about the original characters not being around much, but this is the NEW Jedi Order. That implies new characters, like Anakin, also known as George Lucas's gift to humanity.

As I posted on the spoilers SBS thread, I don't think he is really gone .
{ I hope not any way!}
The team recovered his body, his lightsaber, right after his unprecedneted Force experience. Would he not have dematerialized ala Obi-Wan if he was really gone after that kind of experience?

Anyway Delray has spent more time on his character than anyone else, so it is hard to see his early demise , especially when J&L where much more suitable candidate's.

The fact that we are going to be waiting awhile to return to the main story also seems suspicios...
anyway, if he stays dead, I propose creating an alternatibve expanded universe where we write Anakin into the remaining books!!

From the Corellian Books Anakin has been being groomed for taking over Luke's leadership, heck at this point luke is more expendable than Anakin! Due mainly to some pretty lame outlining I imagine.
Although he scene where he saves Jacen from the embrace of pain w/ his double lightsaber play was a rare impressive moment.

The idea of bodies force users bodies vanishing seems to have vanished as well. And no it would be REALLY corny if they had Anikan pop up and say "Hi, I'm back". Just like the death of Chewie it was stupid and screwed Star Wars up the ass but it is now irreversiable.

 

I got SO PISSED when I learned he dies... I havent read that far yet but i know it by The Star Wars Insider..... Anakin was my Favorite He was the Luke of his Generation but also gotta remember the upcoming movies will explain why a Jedi vanishes and what not....Remember Qui Gon did not vanish. I dont know why he didnt but hes not coming back. I wish he was but i dont think he is. To me I think Ben is gonna be the next jedi prodigy. Also look at it this way Anakin Skywalker died saving Luke from the Emperor Anakin Solo also dies heroiclly I believe saving his team?


I dont think killing Chewie screwed up the SW universe Look at all the past books you could guess what would happen pretty much that everyone would come out ok from this. With the NJO they have shattered that illusion They Killed Chewie and Anakin I wouldnt put it past them if another big name Cee dies before the end of the NJO Which they have like what 16 more books left

2)By the time Jaina and the gang get to the palace of the Bo'marr or another ressurection area, necropsy would have damaged his body beyond repair...

i am currently rereading Ruin and it made me sad to seeing our hero grow from a spoiled jedi brat to a quasi-resposible adult in this novel. i feel like hell whenever i think of his eventual fate.

do you guys think DelRey'll pull a Marvel Comics like resurrection of Anakin?

 

*rolls eyes* Yeah, I don't know if Tahiri will go dark side or not but there *was* that whole vision Anakin had about her being all evil like a Yuuzhan Vong and all...but always in motion the future is...I guess. He has to come back, I am so mad...

 

Can't tell you how much I miss Anakin. I have been turned off NJO completely now and have gone over to the dark side. I accepted Chewie's death, but someone needs to teach Bob about the Roche Limit. Sheeze, hasn't he ever taken an astronomy class? NJO needs an astrophysics editor.

I am filled with hatred towards Ben. I want him dead or deformed.
