*The Annotated Screenplays Thread*

Here can discuss the Annotated Screenplays of the classic trilogy.

First and foremost, for those who have not read it, it is a great addition to your Star Wars Collection.

Not only do you get to read the final shooting scripts for ANH, ESB, and ROTJ, you get an inside look into the story and and plenty of behind the scenes goodies.

It is an awesome read and real treat for hardcore fans, which most of us are, basically based on the fact, that we waste most of out time thinking about Star Wars and posting messgaes on this site. J/k.

Anyways, I guess I'll start off with some interesting facts. If you can, you should contribute by adding more information you attained from the book! Thanks a lot~


First of all, George Lucas went through four drafts, including a rough and a treatment, before sticking with the familiar worlds, people, and events of ANH.

At first, Luke's character was going to be ANAKIN STARKILLER.

Jedi Knights were originally called Jedi Bendu warriors.

The infamous JOURNAL OF THE WHILLS was a written collection of all history and events only found in the SW universe.

 

I've been meaning to get them myself.
